We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated team member to play a key role in supporting patient care by preparing both the patient and treatment area for therapy sessions, while assisting the therapist in delivering safe and effective care at our Fernley location! Hours for this position are 30-36 hours per week.

What would you do in this role?
You will play an essential role in creating a safe, supportive, and efficient environment for patient care. From greeting and guiding patients to their designated therapy areas to assisting therapists with the non-clinical aspects of treatment, you'll help deliver a smooth and positive experience. You&rsquo;ll demonstrate proper use of equipment and exercises to support patient safety. Additionally, you'll help keep the clinic running smoothly by maintaining adequate supplies and clean linens. This role is perfect for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting patient rehabilitation in a collaborative healthcare setting.
A day in the life<ul><li>
Prepare treatment areas and equipment before and after patient appointments, including cleaning and maintaining safety;</li><li>
Greet patient and direct them to the appropriate treatment area;</li><li>
Assist therapist with the non-treatment aspects of therapy services following universal precautions;</li><li>
Demonstrate proper use of equipment and exercise routines;</li><li>
Ensure patient safety at all times, noting any risk factors and communicating with the therapist regarding patient issues or concerns;</li><li>
Document activities, exercises, and outcomes as directed by the therapist in patient&rsquo;s electronic medical record;</li><li>
Maintain adequate levels of clinic supplies and linens.</li></ul> 

Requirements 
Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Certifications/Education</li></ul>
o High School Diploma/GED;<ul><li>Experience:</li></ul>
o Providing customer service.
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting.</li></ul>
Travel: This position may require travel to other clinic locations based on manager discretion.

You will play a vital role in supporting patients and their families throughout the surgical experience. You&rsquo;ll serve as a compassionate point of contact, helping to alleviate stress and provide updates during the perioperative period. By tracking each patient's surgical journey, you&rsquo;ll ensure that families are informed and reassured every step of the way. You&rsquo;ll closely observe patient conditions, promptly communicating any changes or concerns to the assigned nurse or supervisor to maintain high standards of care. You&rsquo;ll help maintain a smooth and efficient care environment by restocking supplies and ensuring equipment is ready and available. This is a hands-on, patient-centered role that truly makes a difference.
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Serve as a personal contact, provide support and help to alleviate stress for families of surgical patients during the perioperative period;</li><li>
Track the patient&rsquo;s surgical journey and alert patient&rsquo;s family of their status as applicable;</li><li>
Observe patient&rsquo;s condition and immediately communicate changes or concerns to the assigned RN or a supervisor;</li><li>
Assist in transferring patients from bed to stretcher and vice versa as needed;</li><li>
Follow emergency procedures including use of CPR if necessary;
</li><li>Escort patients out of the building following discharge;</li><li>
Stock department equipment and supplies.</li></ul>
