What You Will Be Doing
As a Traveling Superintendent, you will be restoring multiple units throughout the property at a time versus one building at a time. You will be required to walk the entire project/units in production multiple times a day and week to evaluate progress and identify areas of opportunities with subcontractors, consultants, and vendors.
Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities<ul><li>
Assist in scheduling subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in the critical path to?ensure timely completion.?</li><li>
Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being?performed.?</li><li>
Communicate and ensure coordination with ASI&rsquo;s, RFI&rsquo;s, addendums and material?submittals.?</li><li>
Ensure that the subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted?scope of work.?</li><li>
Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.?</li><li>
Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety and environmental quality?standards.?</li><li>
Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team?for resolution.?</li><li>
Maintain daily logs (written documentation and photos) of activities on the job site.?</li><li>
Periodically perform Superintendent duties at multiple jobsites, simultaneously.?</li><li>
Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by the project team.?</li><li>
Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.?</li><li>
Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality of work,?scheduling, or safety.?</li><li>
Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.?</li><li>
Perform job progress and completion punch list walks with the client identifying and?completing incomplete items.?</li><li>
Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.?</li><li>
Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the jobsite.?</li><li>
Identify areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope.?</li><li>
Lead a pre-construction meeting with each subcontractor prior to the start of the work.</li><li>
Opening the jobsite at the beginning of the day and securing the jobsite at the end of?the day.?</li><li>
Assist in hiring sub-tier employees (i.e., labor services, etc.)?</li><li>
Manage day-to-day operations and on-sight project management. ?</li><li>
Able to travel frequently to different job sites based on business need.</li><li>
Perform additional duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Qualifications and Requirements
<ul><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel and Outlook.</li><li>
2-7 years Restoration Construction experience.</li><li>
High school diploma or equivalent, college preferred.</li><li>
50-80% travel required between surrounding markets (12 days onsite, with return travel every other week).</li><li>
Must have reliable transportation.</li><li>
Detail-oriented, strong written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul>
