<div>POSITION SUMMARY: With limited and general direction from an Area Director, Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager acts as a business partner with the local management team to effectively manage the human resources function for assigned division(s) while maintaining compliance with industry regulatory agencies and company programs. In addition to administering staffing, training, employee relations, compliance, benefits, and compensation programs at the local level, this role is actively engaged with the implementation of strategic Human Resources initiatives. 
 
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Provides human resources advice and consultation to employees and management, to include coaching and counseling on performance management issues, conflict management, interpretation of employment policies and resolution.</li><li>
Implements, disseminates, and monitors company policies, programs and procedures in the areas otraining, compensation, compliance, and benefits to attract, retain, and motivate employees.</li><li>
Oversees recording and maintenance of employee information, such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations/separations of employment.</li><li>
Monitors division compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, unemployment compensation and any other employment-related requirements.</li><li>
Coordinates with division operations and corporate/area Human Resources staff regarding all employment activity (i.e., hiring, employee relations, compliance, terminations, etc.) within the division.</li><li>
Assists in conducting and resolving investigations regarding employee complaints and concerns.</li><li>
Participates in local management staff meetings and assists with and influences personnel related decisions.</li><li>
Involved with coaching and counseling managers as it relates to performance management.</li><li>
Identifies training needs and/or gaps and develops training programs as appropriate. Also conducts training sessions, including but not limited to, new hire orientation, classroom training and additional leadership sessions.</li><li>
Performs or assists with necessary Human Resource related audits for specific locations.</li><li>
Implements succession planning and talent management plans to support leadership by identifying current talent and anticipating future needs.</li><li>
May oversee and direct the work of the other Human Resources staff or administrative staff members.</li><li>
Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.</li><li>
This position may require travel by air, car and/or other modes of transportation up to 60% of the time.</li></ul>

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>
High school diploma or G.E.D.</li><li>
Minimum of 3 years of directly applicable experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager who was involved in all aspects of HR.</li></ul><div><div>

This innovative site processes rigid plastics from our recycling centers, producing recycled materials that promote true bottle-to-bottle circularity. We also formed Blue Polymers, a joint venture with Ravago, to develop facilities that will further process plastic material from our Polymer Centers to help meet the growing demand for sustainable packaging. We are building a network of Polymer Centers and Blue Polymer facilities across North America.
We continue to advance decarbonization at our landfills. As demand for renewable energy continues to grow, we have 70 landfill gas-to-energy projects in operation and plan to expand our portfolio to 115 projects by 2028.

Human Resources Manager

<div>POSITION SUMMARY: The Employee Relations Manager will play a pivotal role in enabling a positive work environment, fostering strong relationships between employees and the organization while ensuring fair and equitable treatment of all employees. With a focus on conflict resolution, policy enforcement, and compliance with employment laws and regulations, the Employee Relations Manager serves as a trusted advisor and resource for employees and management alike.
Your expertise will be instrumental as you track and resolve employee relations matters in a fast-paced environment. More specifically, you will conduct investigations, advise, and guide managers on disciplinary actions, including performance improvement plans, prepare detailed documentation and ensure timely case resolution while owning matters beginning to end. The successful candidate will have the ability to demonstrate flexibility and maintain focus while managing changing demands and priorities.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Serve as a primary contact to manage the performance management processes for both hourly and salaried employees, including coaching and counseling support</li><li>
Partner with leaders to develop and monitor the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees and reviews, guides and approves management recommendations for employment terminations.</li><li>
Advise and guide managers on disciplinary actions, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations</li><li>
Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints, allegations of misconduct or violations of company policies; recommend follow up actions, as necessary, and ensure all appropriate next steps are followed.</li><li>
Serve as a primary point of contact to investigate workplace issues and conflicts providing guidance, support, and resolution strategies</li><li>
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to employee relations activities, ensuring confidentiality and data privacy</li><li>
Collaborate with HR business partners, legal counsel, and management to ensure consistency and compliance in addressing complex employee relations issues and mitigate risk to the organization</li><li>
Develop and implement employee relations policies, procedures, and training programs to promote a culture of respect, fairness, and professionalism</li><li>
Train managers and supervisors on best practices for handling employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations</li><li>
Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate potential liabilities</li><li>
Analyze trends and patterns in employee relations issues; identify areas for improvement, and recommend proactive measures to address root causes</li><li>
