<div>POSITION SUMMARY: The ES Field Technician III works under minimal supervision, receives broad work instructions, and applies decision-making skills to resolve moderately complex issues. The incumbent provides advice and guidance to less experienced team members and may act as a team leader. The ES Field Technician III performs operations functions related to emergency response and hazardous and non-hazardous spill clean-up and hazmat decontamination work.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Performs tank cleaning, oil spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping and shoveling, high-pressure washing, and various other remedial activities in confined space entry, such as manholes.</li><li>
Responds to customer spills and emergencies during normal business hours and after hours.</li><li>
Performs general housekeeping, including maintenance of equipment and site.</li><li>
Operates light and heavy equipment relating to clean-up, including roll-off truck, vacuum truck, box trucks, skid steer, forklift, pumps, and pallet-jack.</li><li>
Performs pre-trip and post-trip Department of Transportation Inspections and maintains vehicle logs.</li><li>
Presents information and responds to questions from management, internal, and external customers.</li><li>
Performs all responsibilities safely and efficiently, ensuring adherence to all safety policies and regulations that govern job performance.</li><li>
May prepare, maintain, and track daily reports and records relative to emergency response and clean-up operations and other related systems, including regulatory agency and other documentation.</li><li>
Performs other related duties as assigned.</li></ul>
QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Ability to read, write and comprehend documents such as (but not limited to) operational, technical, process, safety and quality instructions.</li><li>
Understands the dangers of working with or around chemicals and able to read and understand safety data sheets to take the necessary steps required to mitigate those dangers</li><li>
Willingness to provide input on working practices to ensure departmental goals are met and exceeded.</li><li>
Has confidence to inform colleagues of unsafe working practices or conditions.</li><li>
A positive attitude and high level of mental resilience.</li><li>
Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules set forth, promotes the Company&rsquo;s safety standards.</li><li>
Proficiency with light tablet/PC use.</li><li>
Ability to use heavy and light equipment, such as forklift and pallet-jack. Skilled using hand and shop tools and instruments. Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail. Must be able to prioritize, stay focused and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities.</li><li>
Some states may require certificate to operate equipment (i.e. man-lift, hoisting license, scissor lift).</li><li>
Current confined space entry certificate/rescue certified or ability to obtain upon hire - preferred.</li><li>
Lead and asbestos abatement license - preferred.</li><li>
Class A/B CDL with tanker and class C with hazmat endorsement - preferred.</li></ul>

Technician III

<div>POSITION SUMMARY: A Driver- CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck, and providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal services for customers. In addition, a Driver &ndash; CDL (B) is responsible for ensuring his or her vehicle is in compliance with the Company&rsquo;s safety standards prior to operating the vehicle, ensures that all Company, state and federal regulations are adhered to at all times while operating the vehicle, and completes vehicle condition reports (&ldquo;VCRs&rdquo;) on a daily basis to ensure that any vehicle defects are repaired in a timely manner.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports.</li><li>
Safely operate his or her heavy truck along his or her designated route and to the disposal site; read route sheet, follow map and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or as assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor.</li><li>
Operate manual and/or automatic controls in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures to lift and load refuse, operate compactor and dispose of collected material at the designated facility.</li><li>
Courteously interact with all customers, dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner.</li><li>
Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers in accordance with applicable departmental procedures.</li><li>
Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste.</li><li>
Clean area around an accidental waste spill, ensuring adherence to all applicable safety standards and policies.</li><li>
Continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time; clean waste from the packer blade and truck body (where appropriate) on each disposal trip.</li><li>
Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs and other reports, as required.</li><li>
Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner.</li><li>
Follow all required safety policies and procedures.</li><li>
Actively participate in the Company&rsquo;s ReSOP program.</li><li>

<div>POSITION SUMMARY: A Relief Driver &ndash; CDL (A) is responsible for safely operating a heavy commercial truck, a tractor trailer or a straight truck with a pup trailer, or other vehicle requiring a class A CDL, to provide prompt and courteous delivery and removal of large containers. Relief Driver

Conducting chemical bulking and consolidation.</li><li>
Packaging and labeling waste products to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance.</li><li>
Participating in spill response on customer's site as needed.</li><li>
Operating forklifts.</li><li>
Inspecting drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.</li><li>
Ensuring the safe loading and unloading of waste hauling vehicles.</li><li>

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Ability to use heavy and light equipment, such as forklift, and pallet-jack. Skilled using hand and shop tools, and instruments. Demonstrates, accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail. Must be able to prioritize, stay focused and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities.</li><li>
A valid driver&rsquo;s license may be required for some positions.</li></ul>
