OVERVIEWThe Research Foundation for the State University of New York at Plattsburgh (RF-SUNY) is seeking a qualified candidate with technical and practical skills for the position of Research Technician with The Lake Champlain Research Institute (LCRI) at SUNY Plattsburgh. SUNY Plattsburgh is a regional leader in environmental science and ecology with strong undergraduate and graduate programs. The Lake Champlain Research Institute is a hub for research on campus with many ongoing projects. The Research Foundation is a private, nonprofit corporation, offering comprehensive and low-cost health, dental, and vision insurance, basic and optional retirement plans, employer paid life insurance, tuition waivers, paid time off, and other benefits.Job DescriptionFunction and ScopeThe Research Technician conducts field and laboratory work to support current and ongoing projects for the Lake Champlain Research Institute to include the Long-Term Monitoring Program, Deep Lake Buoy Research and other ongoing outreach and education programs.
