<div>Resource Innovations is seeking a Project Engineer to join our growing team in Northern Indiana. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated engineer with a strong background in C&amp;I custom and energy management DSM program engineering to join our dynamic team. As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for providing customers with the support and tools necessary to identify, quantify, and deliver cost-effective energy-efficiency projects.

Duties and Responsibilities<ul>
<li>
Supports implementation of both prescriptive and custom energy efficiency projects. Support may include completing energy modeling, economic analysis, and/or simulation to quantify energy impacts of recommendations (using spreadsheets and/or energy modeling software), developing project scopes, summarizing implementation details, and/or explaining impacts on operations.</li>
<li>Conducts energy analysis for projects at medium to large commercial and industrial facilities to identify and recommend energy efficiency improvements in a variety of facility energy using systems (lighting, HVAC, compressed air, refrigeration, process heating, plastic molding or forming, motors, boilers, pumping, food processing, etc.).</li>
<li>Writes technical reports summarizing results from energy assessments to quantify project economics (energy savings, cost savings, project cost, potential incentive, simple payback, etc.).</li>
<li>Conducts measurement and verification (M&amp;V) site visits to establish facility energy usage patterns, identify potential energy savings opportunities, and verify installation of energy savings projects. M&amp;V tasks may include installing field monitoring equipment / data loggers, collecting BAS trend data, completing functional performance tests, obtaining BAS screenshots and equipment photos, and discussing project implementation with the customer and contractor.</li>
<li>Communicates, coordinates, and assists project stakeholders and participants including program staff, contractors, and utility customers to help ensure customers are maximizing the benefits of utility programs.</li>
<li>Delivers professional, high-quality services and builds a quick rapport with utility customers.</li>
<li>Completes high-quality deliverables that demonstrate technical excellence, objectivity, and clarity while maintaining project budgets and schedules.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
Requirements<ul><li>
A minimum of a bachelor&rsquo;s degree is required, preferably in Mechanical, Energy, or related engineering field of study</li></ul><ul>
<li>A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and principles including HVAC and refrigeration, thermal and fluid systems, motors, lighting and/or other commercial and industrial systems</li>
<li> 2+ years of project engineering experience or similar within the energy efficiency industry.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects while meeting deliverable deadlines and budgets</li>
<li>Comfortable managing projects and workflows with variable levels of ambiguity</li>
<li>Must have a valid U.S. driver&rsquo;s license with a good driving record and a personal vehicle to visit customer sites.</li>
<li>Must be able and willing to travel locally up to 25%</li>
<li>Strong proficiency with oral communication, writing, and analytical skills.</li>
<li>Planning, coordinating, organization, and self-management in a professional environment are a must.</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.</li>
<li>Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment.</li>
<li>On-track or desire to obtain one or more of the following certifications: P.E., C.E.M., C.B.C.P. (or similar), or C.E.A.</li></ul> 
Preferred skills, education and experience<ul><li><ul>

CEM certification</li>
<li>Previous relevant experience with commercial and/or industrial sectors</li>
<li>Previous relevant experience with success at managing multiple projects/programs, budgets, deliverables, and client relations.</li>
<li>Design and specification of HVAC, electrical, building automation/controls</li>
<li>Building and energy modeling/simulation tools (e.g. DOE-2, eQuest, EnergyPlus, Trane Trace, ECAM)</li>
<li>Familiar with energy savings opportunities for building energy using systems (lighting, HVAC, compressed air, refrigeration, process heating and cooling, etc.).</li>
<li>Commissioning and/or retro-commissioning test procedures, schematic diagrams, and system specifications</li>

Compensation &amp; Benefits
Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position. The compensation range for the base salary for this position is $74,448 - $90,000. In addition to base pay, employees are eligible for a discretionary annual bonus. The stated salary represents the expected compensation for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education and location.
We also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes three weeks of paid vacation per year; paid holidays; a 401(k)-retirement plan with employer matching; health, dental and vision insurance; and other supplemental benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities<ul>

Deliver excellent customer service to customers (commercial and industrial customers, utility clients, and program staff)</li>
<li>Perform energy audits at customer facilities to identify, measure, and verify energy efficiency measures.</li>
<li>Provide timely technical and program feedback, listen to customer needs, set expectations appropriately, and deliver what you promise</li>
<li>Be a champion for energy efficiency (projects and the approach): identify barriers and propose solutions</li>
<li>Support RI&rsquo;s utility programs under the direction of the Office Head or Program Administrator to achieve program energy savings goals</li>
<li>Produce high quality deliverables (reports and spreadsheets) with limited QC review</li>
<li>Forge and maintain excellent relationship with client</li>
<li>Solicit feedback, advocate change, and implement solutions</li>

Requirements<ul><li>

<li>Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel</li>
<li>Must be able to travel locally up to approximately 20% of the time</li>
<li>Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment.</li>
