We are currently recruiting for a Shipping &amp; Receiving Clerk to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for those with experience in logistics or manufacturing, looking to expand their career with a steadily growing organization. The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail and excel with meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities:

<ul><li>Follows established operational procedures for activities such as:</li>
<li>Verification of incoming shipments with high attention to detail</li>
<li>Ensues accuracy of raw materials and finished goods inventories at all times</li>
<li>Stage of materials in support of operations in an organized and efficient manner</li>
<li>Verifies accuracy of outbound shipments to customers and intra- plant transfers
</li><li>Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.</li>
<li>Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
</li><li>Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code</li>
<li>Responsible for all UPS, Fedex incoming and outgoing shipments</li>
<li>Fills requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distributes items to production floor.</li>
<li>Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.</li>
<li>Marks materials with identifying information, opens bales, crates and other containers</li>
<li>Records amount so materials or items received or distributed</li>
<li>Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards</li>
<li>Uses computer workstations to enter records, compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications</li>
<li>Drives lift truck to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.</li>
<li>Responsible for efficient maintenance of all inventory records</li>
<li>Keeps work areas clear and organized; maintains housekeeping standards.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:

<ul><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience</li>
<li>At least one year of experience working in shipping or receiving in either a logistics or manufacturing type environment is preferred. Experience in the printing or packaging industry is a huge plus!</li>
<li>Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence .
</li><li>Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.
</li><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; and stoop, kneel or crouch.
</li><li>The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without mechanical assistance; loads over 50 pounds require the use of mechanical devices or other personnel.
</li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.</li>
