The Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RCP II) / Respiratory Therapist (RRT) delivers respiratory therapy treatments and pulmonary diagnostic services in an acute care setting, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of care across all patient populations.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Administer respiratory therapy treatments (oxygen, aerosol, airway management)</li><li>
Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems</li><li>
Perform pulmonary diagnostics (ABGs, PFTs)</li><li>
Implement patient-specific respiratory care plans</li><li>
Document care in the EMR</li><li>
Respond to code blue and rapid response events</li><li>
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes</li><li>
May serve as Lead RCP during assigned shifts</li></ul>
Qualifications:

1. State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required</div><div>
2. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.</div><div>
3. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required</div><div>
4. 2 years experience as an RCP preferred.</div><div>
5. ACLS certificate within 60 day of hire and maintain current.</div><div>
6. NRP certificate preferred</div><div>
7. PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current.</div><div>
8. Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred</div><div>

Responsibilities:

To provide emotional support, crisis intervention and counseling; information and referral; referrals for financial assistance and supportive services to patients and families with problems that are related to hospitalization, illness, disability or trauma. To provide case management &amp; milieu management, complete psychosocial assessments, assist in the development and re-evaluation of Treatment Plans and work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, and to coordinate discharge planning. Complete necessary documentation and maintain clinical record for each client during his/her length of stay.</div>

Responsibilities:

Under the direction and authorization of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director/manager, the RCP I is responsible for performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician. Emphasis will be toward the assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient. In the absence of a supervisor, may be assigned/identified as Lead RCP, having responsibility for the section or department during their shift.</div>
