 The Certified/Registered Medical Assistant will focus on providing comprehensive OB/GYN services throughout all phases of a woman&rsquo;s life.
 
 
 This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm out of our Edina location.
 
 
 Almara Women's Health | Haugen OB/GYN is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.
 
 
 
 Essential Functions
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, confirming purpose of visit.
 </li>
 <li>
 Measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient&rsquo;s chart.
 </li>
 <li>
 Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger sticks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs in-house testing including UA, Hemoglobin, 1 hour glucose, 3 hour glucose and ICT stool samples.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist physician and physician assistant in exam rooms.
 </li>
 <li>
 Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or nurse practitioner.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients&rsquo; medical records prior to their appointment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.).
 </li>
 <li>
 Any and all other duties as assigned

 Education And Experience Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Graduation from a Medical Assistant Program or MLT program.
 </li>
 <li>
 AAMA or AMT certified. If not currently certified, then willing to become certified.
 </li>
 <li>
 1+ years&rsquo; experience of Medical Assistant experience in a clinic setting.
 </li>
 <li>
 Willing to train Medical Assistant that has completed their Externship.
 </li>
 <li>
 X-ray licensed or willing to obtain limited scope x-ray license to perform Bone Density scans, preferred.
 
 
 </li>

 Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 A $750 sign-on bonus will be offered for select roles, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

 Frequently lift up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.

 Must be able to frequently perform physical activities such as pushing, pulling, and reaching.
 </li>
 <li>
 Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.
 </li>

 Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.
 </li>

 Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer).
