<div></div><div>We are currently looking for a <b>Training &amp; Development Specialist </b>who will be responsible for coordinating, facilitating, and designing training programs that develop and enhance the skills, safety, and productivity of our workforce. The ideal candidate has experience in fast-paced environments, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings, has a strong grasp of production floor dynamics and technical learning needs, and is passionate about workforce development.</div>
<div></div><div><b>What You Will Be Doing</b></div>
<div><b>Training Coordination</b></div>
<ul><li>Plan and schedule onboarding, compliance, and technical training sessions to accommodate day and night shifts across multiple departments.</li>
<li>Maintain training calendars, attendance records, and certification databases.</li>
<li>Work with shift supervisors and group leads to ensure training coverage without impacting production flow.</li>
<li>Coordinate with keys stakeholders to assess scheduling and training needs across the organization.</li>
<li>Track and maintain training records, certifications, and requalification schedules (e.g., weld procedures, forklift certifications).</li>
</ul><div><b>Facilitation</b></div>
<ul><li>Lead instructor-led training sessions, both classroom and shop-floor based.</li>
<li>Support hands-on training for equipment, processes, and quality protocols.</li>
<li>Facilitate safety and compliance training in coordination with EHS personnel.</li>
</ul><div><b>Content Development</b></div>
<ul><li>Design and develop training materials, manuals, job aids, and e-learning modules.</li>
<li>Customize training content based on process changes, new equipment, or skills gaps.</li>
<li>Evaluate and update existing training programs to ensure relevance and effectiveness.</li>
</ul> <div><b>Evaluation &amp; Continuous Improvement</b></div>
<ul><li>Collect and analyze feedback from participants and managers.</li>
<li>Track training KPIs (e.g., completion rates, effectiveness scores).</li>
<li>Recommend process improvements and content enhancements based on performance data.</li>
</ul><div><b>Stakeholder Management</b></div>
<ul><li>Serve as a liaison between HR and Operations to ensure training aligns with safety, compliance, and organizational goals.</li>
<li>Facilitate regular check-ins and feedback loops with frontline leaders to refine and adjust training strategies based on shop-floor realities.</li>
<li>Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to co-develop technical content that reflects best practices.</li>
<li>Support cross-functional initiatives by aligning training programs with company-wide initiatives like lean manufacturing, ISO certification, etc.</li>
<li>Maintain effective communication with union representatives (if applicable) to ensure training initiatives support contractual agreements and workforce development goals.</li>

<div></div><div><b>Your Background</b></div>
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field (or equivalent work experience) required.</li>
</ul><div><b>The Work Environment at Rhoads</b></div>
<ul><li>The performance of this position involves exposure to construction or industrial areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats and hearing protection is required.</li>
<li>US Citizenship required</li>
<li><b>3+ years of experience</b> in a training and development role, ideally within manufacturing, skilled trades, or industrial operations.</li>
<li>Experience with adult learning principles, curriculum design, and facilitation techniques.</li>
<li>Strong project coordination and organizational skills.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and presentation abilities.</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office and learning management systems (LMS).</li>
<li>Familiarity with safety and compliance standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO) a plus.</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable with shop floor engagement.</li>
<li>Able to develop and deliver training on all shifts, including early mornings or nights as needed.</li>
