Ridgeway Post Acute is seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Staff Development (DSD) to join our leadership team. This is a key role for a strong, hands-on leader who believes in being present on the floor, mentoring staff, and leading by example.

Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Lead and oversee staff development, education, and competency programs</li><li>
Ensure compliance with state and federal training requirements</li><li>
Conduct new hire orientation and ongoing in-service education</li><li>
Actively round on the floor to support, coach, and mentor staff</li><li>
Collaborate with DON and leadership team to improve clinical outcomes</li><li>
Maintain accurate training and competency records</li><li>
Serve as a visible, supportive resource for all departments</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Active LVN or RN license (state-specific requirements apply)</li><li>
Prior experience as a DSD or strong clinical leadership background in a skilled nursing/post-acute setting</li><li>
Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards</li><li>
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills</li><li>
Passion for teaching, mentoring, and staff engagement</li></ul>

Director of Staff Development

<div>Dietary Manager / Dietary Director 
Ridgeway Post Acute 
Pay: $25&ndash;$30 per hour
Ridgeway Post Acute is seeking an experienced and motivated Dietary Manager to lead our dietary department. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of meal planning, food preparation, and service delivery to ensure our residents receive safe, nutritious, and high-quality meals tailored to their individual needs.
The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and passionate about resident satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and team leadership.<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>
Direct and participate in the preparation and service of meals that are safe, appetizing, and meet prescribed dietary needs</li><li>
Ensure compliance with physician orders, approved menus, and portion control standards</li><li>
Manage the dietary department budget, control costs, and order food and supplies appropriately</li><li>
Plan and assist with special meals for holidays and facility events</li><li>
Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate dietary staff; manage disciplinary actions and terminations as needed</li><li>
Maintain proper food storage, handling, and sanitation in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations</li><li>
Process new and updated diet orders; maintain accurate diet cards and resident records</li><li>
Assess resident food preferences, allergies, and nutritional risks; complete monthly nutritional notes</li><li>
Prepare staff schedules and adjust for coverage needs</li><li>
Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and storage environment</li><li>
Conduct regular safety and cleanliness inspections of the dietary department</li><li>
Coordinate dietary services with nursing and activities departments</li><li>
Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) and Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings</li><li>
Provide in-service education and training for dietary staff</li><li>
Investigate workplace injuries and implement corrective actions or retraining</li><li>
Maintain department security and resident confidentiality</li><li>
Visit residents to conduct nutritional assessments, explain diets, and promote quality food service</li><li>
Communicate menu changes with the Dietitian and document appropriately</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Supervisory Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>
Responsible for the overall supervision and management of dietary staff, including scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and regulatory compliance</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Qualifications</h3>
Education &amp; Experience<ul><li>
Graduate of an approved Dietary Manager course meeting state and federal regulations</li><li>
Minimum of one (1) year experience in a long-term care dietary department preferred</li><li>
Knowledge of PointClickCare (PCC) preferred</li><li>
Must maintain required continuing education and licensing</li><li>
Must remain in good standing with the Department of Public Health License and Certification Division</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Physical Requirements</h3><ul><li>
Frequent standing, walking, reaching, pushing, and pulling</li><li>
Occasional sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling</li><li>
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds</li><li>
Frequent talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling</li><li>
Visual acuity including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
