About the role
We are looking for an Invoicing Analyst to perform the Contract to Cash (CTC) activities for Simandou.
The Group Services -Commercial Services team is responsible for all revenue accounting functions for iron ore, salt, Copper, bauxite and alumina sales for pacific region. This includes ensuring that appropriate credit risk mitigation tools are in place, appropriate shipping-related documents are produced, and that commercial invoices and other documents are produced to banks/customers in a timely, accurate manner to ensure the maximization of cash flow.
This role is a great opportunity for a professional who is eager to progress into a role with end-to-end accountability and responsibility for our CTC process and has the experience in supporting the development of new KPIs, system enhancements, and process automation. Working within the Commercial Services Team and reporting to the GS-CS Sr Advisor, you will be responsible for:
Key Accountabilities:
<ul><li>Source and report on operational invoicing matters</li><li>
Maintain relevant sales databases in relation to invoicing</li><li>
Provide input to standard cyclical reports (weekly and monthly).</li><li>
Support business process and automation improvements to effectively and efficiently deliver customer service solutions to the business</li><li>
Support compliance with Rio Tinto policies around invoicing</li><li>
Execute Letter of Credit process and ensure timelines are met efficiently</li><li>
Manage individual knowledge levels, identifying areas for growth and development.</li><li>
Working closely with multiple stakeholders to improve the level of services and processes to meet the business requirements and maintain a positive relationship.</li></ul>
Activities &amp; Tasks:<ul><li>
Generate invoices and prepare shipping documents for presentation to banks or to send to customers.</li><li>
Monitor shipment execution and ensure cash collections for the business units are met timely</li><li>
Execute and run reports and procedures required for month-end activities</li><li>
Follow-up on AR/AP positions and payment schedules</li><li>
Support Data Analysis/Reporting activities</li><li>
Execute and run reports and procedures required for month-end activities</li><li>
Assisting with audit and financial queries, when required.</li><li>
Support SAP projects and enhancements for CTC process</li><li>
Support improvements initiatives with focus on quick-win automations aiming at enhancing efficiency</li><li>
Maintain management reporting &ndash; keeping team reports up to date from both functional and data perspective and maintaining internal databases and systems.</li></ul>
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:<ul><li>
A bachelor&rsquo;s degree in commerce</li><li>
Minimum 7-9 years of relevant experience</li></ul>
Industry and domain<ul><li>
Previous experience in Commodity/Export/Shipping Industry is desirable</li><li>
Shipping/invoicing/pricing knowledge required</li><li>
Supply chain knowledge</li><li>
International trade documentation</li></ul>
Systems<ul><li>
Knowledge of SAP is a must</li><li>
Knowledge of Salesforce, Incoterm is an added advantage</li><li>
Advanced Excel skills</li><li>
Power BI experience</li><li>
Working knowledge of MS Office suites</li></ul>
Additional skills<ul><li>
Good command of English language</li><li>
Ability to work well with various stakeholders and be a team player</li><li>
Proven ability to generate high quality reports and dashboard</li><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li></ul>
