THE WORK:</b></p>

We're looking for a Staff Data Scientist to be the technical lead across Ripple's diverse product and business portfolio. You'll define the analytics vision, build the scientific frameworks the org uses to evaluate product and business performance, and use AI tooling to accelerate the speed and reach of analytics across the company.</p>
<p>
In this role, you'll partner with product and business leads to frame the most important questions, set the analytical bar, and ensure decisions across surfaces rest on a consistent, thorough foundation. You'll operate as a force multiplier - solving the hardest problems, building the frameworks others reuse, and levelling up data scientists across teams.</p>

WHAT YOU'LL DO:</b></p>

<li> <b>Be the DS tech lead across multiple product and business teams</b>: setting methodological standards and unblocking the hardest analytical problems across areas including Treasury, Markets, Custody, and XRPL.</li>
<li><b>Partner with product and business leads to define analytics strategy</b>: shaping which initiatives to invest in, what success looks like, and how we'll know.</li>
<li><b>Build the scientific frameworks Ripple reuses at scale</b>: product and network health metrics, causal inference playbooks, liquidity and adoption models, and forecasting approaches that work across institutional and developer surfaces.</li>
<li><b>Pioneer AI-accelerated analytics</b>: applying LLMs and agentic workflows to scale insight generation, automate routine analysis, and enable self-serve exploration for non-DS partners.</li>
<li><b>Drive evidence-based evaluation of growth</b> across customers, corridors, and on-chain activity, surfacing the causal drivers behind adoption and volume.</li>
<li><b>Define and communicate the metrics leadership runs on</b>: translating complex results into clear narratives for Ripple executives and external stakeholders.</li>
<li><b>Raise the bar for the DS function </b>through thought leadership and mentorship across embedded teams.</li>

</div><div><p><b>WHAT YOU'LL BRING:</b></p>
</div>
<div><ul><li>8+ years in data science or quantitative analysis, with a track record of senior level impact across multiple teams.</li>
<li>Demonstrated <b>technical leadership across cross-functional teams</b>, influencing roadmaps and strategy at both executive and execution levels.</li>
<li>Proven experience designing <b>reusable analytics and measurement frameworks</b> that scale across products.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience <b>applying AI to accelerate analytics workflows</b> (agentic analysis, AI-assisted insight generation, natural-language data interfaces).</li>
<li>Deep expertise in experimentation, causal inference, forecasting, and statistical modeling in a product environment.</li>
<li>Expertise in Python or R, fluency in SQL, and experience with large-scale data tech (Databricks, Airflow, dBT a plus).</li>
<li>Experience with FinTech, payments, crypto, or blockchain data is a strong plus.</li>
<li>Advanced degree (MS, PhD) in a quantitative field preferred.</li>

As Senior Manager, Hedge Accounting at Ripple Treasury, you lead the team that delivers technical hedge accounting excellence across our managed services client portfolio. You are the subject matter expert &mdash; the person clients, auditors, and colleagues turn to on the most complex ASC 815 and IFRS 9 questions &mdash; and the manager who sets the standard the team grows into.</p>

You own the quality and integrity of every hedge accounting deliverable we produce from hedge documentation and effectiveness testing through journal entries, disclosures, and audit support. You develop the Derivative Accountants and the broader team. Technical Leadership</b></p>

<li>Serve as the company's primary SME for hedge accounting under ASC 815 and IFRS 9 &mdash; providing authoritative technical guidance on fair value hedges, cash flow hedges, net investment hedges, de-designation scenarios, and disclosure requirements.</li>
<li>Review and approve hedge documentation, designation memos, risk management objectives, and effectiveness testing methodologies across the client portfolio.</li>
<li>Oversee quantitative and qualitative effectiveness assessments (regression analysis, dollar-offset, hypothetical derivative method) on a prospective and retrospective basis.</li>
<li>Guide clients through structuring new hedging relationships to achieve qualification and optimize accounting outcomes.</li>
<li>Translate FASB and IASB standard updates into clear, actionable impact summaries for clients and internal teams &mdash; before the deadline, not at it.</li>

<li>Develop, document, and maintain standardized workflows, templates, and close checklists that scale across a growing client portfolio.</li>
<li>Evaluate and leverage technology solutions that increase accuracy, reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.</li>
<li>Establish and track team KPIs for delivery quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction; use data to drive decisions.</li>
<li>Lead retrospectives after each close cycle to capture what worked, what didn't, and what changes before next quarter.</li>

<p><b>Client Service &amp; Cross-Functional Collaboration</b></p>

<li>Serve as the senior escalation point for client inquiries, audit questions, and complex accounting positions across the managed services portfolio.</li>
<li>Build trusted relationships with client treasury, accounting, and finance leadership &mdash; advising at a strategic level, not just executing deliverables.</li>
<li>Partner with Ripple Treasury's product, technology, and client success teams to inform platform capabilities and service design.</li>

<div><ul><li>CPA required; advanced degree in Accounting or Finance a plus.</li>
<li>10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 7 years focused on derivative instruments and hedge accounting under ASC 815 and IFRS 9.</li>
<li>Proven experience managing and developing accounting teams &mdash; in public accounting, managed services, or corporate finance.</li>
<li>Deep technical fluency in ASC 815 and IFRS 9, including practical hedge accounting elections, effectiveness testing methodologies, and disclosure requirements &mdash; you can research, interpret, and apply the standards independently.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of derivative instruments across asset classes: interest rate swaps, cross-currency swaps, FX forwards, options, and commodity derivatives.</li>
<li>Demonstrated track record of designing and implementing process improvements &mdash; you leave workflows better than you found them.</li>
<li>Experience with hedge accounting platforms (Ripple Treasury, Chatham Financial, Reval, FIS Quantum, or comparable TMS) strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Comfortable managing multiple client engagements simultaneously &mdash; precise, organized, and able to prioritize under tight deadlines.</li>
<li>Strong communicator: you make complex accounting conclusions accessible to non-technical audiences, and you hold your ground on technical positions when it matters.</li>
