Position Overview:</b></div><div>
RIVA Solutions is seeking a Wireless Network Engineer to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) under the NEITS program. This mid-to-senior level role will provide enterprise wireless services across a complex, multi-platform IT environment, supporting NOAA&rsquo;s mission-critical operations. The selected candidate will play a key role in delivering reliable, secure connectivity to end users, stakeholders, and mission partners&mdash;directly supporting NOAA&rsquo;s work in environmental monitoring, forecasting, and data dissemination.</div><div>

Core Responsibilities:</b></div><ul><li>
Installs and maintains complex networks that typically link numerous computing platforms, operating systems, and network topologies across widely dispersed geographical areas.</li><li>
Provide Tier-2 support for enterprise wireless LAN services, including troubleshooting, configuration, patching, and operational support.</li><li>
Work with Aruba-based wireless solutions, including controller-based Aruba Central deployments.</li><li>
Support wireless services for both campus and remote access point (AP) deployments.</li><li>
Manage various authentication methods such as certificate-based, single sign-on (SSO), guest access, and MAC authentication.</li><li>
Ensure IPv6 compatibility across wireless systems and support users operating in IPv6 environments.</li><li>
Assist in planning and implementing wireless infrastructure upgrades and optimizations.</li><li>
Collaborate with Tier-3 engineers, federal leads, and stakeholders to ensure continuity and performance of wireless services.</li><li>
Document configurations, support procedures, and updates in accordance with government standards.</li></ul><div><b>
Minimum Qualifications:</b></div><ul><li>
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust</li><li>
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a technical field</li><li>
6&ndash;8 years of related IT experience</li><li>
Hands on experience with Aruba wireless solutions, including both controller-based and cloud-based architectures</li><li>
Proficiency with enterprise wireless offerings, configuration, troubleshooting, operations, patching, and hardware</li><li>
Familiarity with IPv6 networking in enterprise environments</li></ul><div><b>
Preferred Qualifications:</b></div><ul><li>
Prior experience supporting NOAA or other mission-driven federal scientific agencies</li><li>
Knowledge of NIST and FISMA standards related to network operations</li><li>
Relevant certifications such as Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP), ITIL, CompTIA A+/Network+, Microsoft, or equivalent</li></ul><div><b>
Salary:</b> Up to $130,000 a year (based on experience)</div><div>
