Job Summary Riveer is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support daily purchasing activities, maintain vendor relationships, and keep accurate records of all materials and supplies. This position plays a vital role in ensuring our production and service teams have the parts and materials they need to deliver high-quality equipment on time.The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare and process purchase orders for raw materials, parts, and supplies.</li><li>Ensure orders received are accurate</li><li>Communicate with vendors to request quotes, confirm pricing, and track deliveries</li><li>Maintain accurate purchasing and vendor records within the ERP system</li><li>Monitor inventory levels and assist in replenishment to prevent shortages</li><li>Follow up on open orders and resolve delivery or quality issues with suppliers</li><li>Assist with invoice matching and coordination with accounting for timely payment</li><li>Provide general administrative support as needed</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or clerical/administrative support (manufacturing environment preferred)</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Good written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)</li><li>Experience using ERP or MRP systems (Epicor preferred)</li><li>Knowledge of basic purchasing processes, vendor management, or inventory practices</li></ul>Physical Demands<ul><li>This position requires the ability to frequently lift with arms and hands, as well as to stand, twist, bend, walk, and sit</li><li>This position requires the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and, on occasion, lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance</li><li>This vision abilities required by this position include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus</li><li>Reasonable accommodations may be made to individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions</li></ul>Work Environment<ul><li>Noise level is moderate to loud</li><li>Exposure to both hot and cold temperatures</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Weekly pay</li><li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance, Riveer pays 75% of premium</li><li>Simple IRA with company match</li><li>Paid time off and holidays</li><li>Free lunch provided every Thursday</li></ul>This job description contains information about the key responsibilities of this position.
