Job Purpose: To operate forklifts safely and efficiently; handles all freight inbound or outbound properly and orderly; maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; loading / unloading of RJW truck / trailers and outside carriers safely and using proper procedures; ensures all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly; responsible for properly storing stock in the warehouse; performs duties to provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving handling activities. Works from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers. Maintains forklift safety at all times following all safety policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Assists Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse.</li>
<li>Ability to operate reach truck and /or Walkie Rider.</li>
<li>General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.</li>
<li>Loads and unloads RJW truck / trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carriers equipment.</li>
<li>Flexible to work 10 to 12 hours shifts when necessary and not afraid of heights.</li>
<li>Picking and moving stock from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times.</li>
<li>Ensures all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly.</li>
<li>Maintains warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.</li>
<li>Processing outbound cross-dock freight as necessary.</li>
<li>Oversees storing stock properly in the warehouse and moving product into the storage racks.</li>
<li>Works from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers.</li>
<li>Records and verifies the accuracy of the shipments against the paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments / deliveries.</li>
<li>Ensures all documentation and paperwork is properly completed.</li>
<li>Operates forklifts safely and efficiently following all OSHA regulations, RJW safety policies, and procedures.
<ul><li>This includes wearing of seatbelts at all times when operating the forklift.</li>
</ul></li><li>Completes daily forklift maintenance inspections.</li>
<li>Handles all customer products properly and orderly.</li>
<li>Checks deliveries for poor packing, general condition of materials, and free of damage. Alerts Warehouse Supervisor of any problems, taking pictures if necessary.</li>
<li>Reports all accidents / incidents, to employee, damage of stock, or building damage to the Shift Supervisor immediately.</li>
<li>Spotting of trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment for the day.</li>
<li>Maintains access to dock doors both inside and outside the facility keeping them free of debris or snow.</li>
<li>Other tasks as assigned by manager.</li>
</ul>
Additional Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Possesses a sense of urgency, accountability, and be able to work with limited supervision.</li>
<li>General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.</li>
<li>He/she must be able to read, write, and understand English.</li>
<li>Attention to detail and quality a must.</li>
<li>Good communication, clear and concise, problem resolution, and people skills.</li>
<li>Flexibility in working overtime when needed, and supplying coverage to other shifts.</li>
<li>PC skills helpful.</li>
<li>Major experience on reach truck or stand-up forklift/EPJs</li>
<li>Experience in building pallets with stock and breaking down stock to fill independent orders.</li>
<li>Experience in cross docking freight process.</li>
<li>Ability to work in a fast paced warehouse.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>3-6 months of forklift driving experience in a warehouse using reach truck/stand-up forklifts and Electric Pallet Jacks.</li>
<li>Good stable work record.</li>
</ul>
Education and/or Experience Required:
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED).</li>
<li>Warehousing certifications a plus.</li>
</ul>
