<div><p>RK Industries is hiring a full-time Shop Superintendent (Sheet Metal) in Denver to oversee shop employees and ensure the CAD/FAB process consistently produces high-quality sheet metal products that meet or exceed customer requirements. This role works closely with Project Managers, field personnel, schedulers, Work Order Processors, the CAD department, detailing subcontractors, and trucking partners to deliver complete projects safely and on time.</p><p>
The Shop Superintendent also supports the growth of shop employees by strengthening their leadership, technical, and organizational skills through coaching, performance reviews, and development planning.</p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
What You&rsquo;ll Do</b></h2><ul><li>
Supervise shop employees to ensure the CAD/FAB process produces work that meets or exceeds customer requirements.</li><li>
Maintain controlled conditions for CAD/FAB activities and drive continuous improvement across the process.</li><li>
Review drawings and schedules and identify scope changes resulting from shop drawing revisions.</li><li>
Direct employees and oversee the bundling, staging, and complete shipment of materials.</li><li>
Coordinate delivery dates with trucking partners.</li><li>
Partner with Project Managers, field personnel, schedulers, Work Order Processors, the CAD department, and detailing subcontractors.</li><li>
Support employee development through coaching, performance reviews, development planning, and equipment training.</li><li>
Assist the Shop Operations Manager with hiring, evaluations, and terminations of shop personnel.</li><li>
Hold weekly safety meetings and daily toolbox talks.</li><li>
Work with RK Industries&rsquo; safety department to maintain a safe shop environment.</li><li>
Ensure accurate allocation of shop labor costs, including timecards.</li><li>
Maintain consistent quality and productivity.</li><li>
Keep the shop and yard safe, clean, and organized.</li><li>
Ensure shop staff are properly trained on equipment to help limit repair costs.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
What You&rsquo;ll Bring</b></h2><ul><li>
College or university degree with seven years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.</li><li>
Advanced knowledge and techniques within the function, with the ability to apply applicable principles and practices across a broad variety of assignments.</li><li>
Ability to make independent decisions regarding complex work and methods.</li><li>
Ability to work with guidance focused primarily on overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.</li><li>
Ability to serve as a liaison to groups within and outside the organization and act independently on matters related to the function.</li><li>

Physical Requirements</b></h2><ul><li>
Ability to occasionally lift and carry 51&ndash;75 pounds, frequently exert 31&ndash;45 pounds of force, and constantly exert up to 16&ndash;22 pounds of force to move objects.</li><li>

Position Summary</b></p><p>
Oversee the scheduling, coordination, and supervision of crew activities. Supervise and coordinate onsite field operations of RK Industries, LLC. and associated sub-contractors and vendors. Provide pertinent information and trade specific information to the GC in the development of the project schedule. Adhere to project schedule and orchestrate timely project completion within budget. Cooperate with project management and maintain open lines of communication regarding matters concerning project budget, productivity, change orders, quality control and customer satisfaction.</p><div><br>

Role Responsibilities</b></div><div><ul><li>
Practice, promote, and develop mentoring at all trades and manpower levels throughout the company.</li><li>
Document and ensure any required corrective measures are addressed and implemented.</li><li>
Develop &lsquo;Master Plan&rsquo; approach for project.</li><li>
Execute, supervise and maintain CPMI.</li><li>
Schedule all daily and weekly scope of work activities.</li><li>
Requisition, maintain and account for tools, materials and equipment.</li><li>
Monitor progress, performance and quality of work for all Subcontractors and major Equipment Suppliers.</li><li>
Coordinate all required jurisdictional inspections, and maintain good working relationships with inspectors.</li><li>
Reviews, analyzes, and updates Labor Hours/Job Costs Report information with project management on weekly basis.</li><li>
Optimize project opportunity by field/pre-fabrication planning, CADD, organizing and scheduling, without compromising the quality, safety or completion date of the project.</li><li>
Assist project management with schedule preparation and SIP, including logic and resource/budget allocation, Labor Resource Charts and provide updates as required.</li><li>
Keep proper and complete documentation of project, in accordance with RK Mechanical, Inc.&rsquo;s standard systems and available for inspection at all times.</li><li>
Provide required training, mentoring, coaching and leadership for field personnel. Participation in company provided training.</li><li>
Ensure accurate and complete cost coding of all time cards on a daily basis. Review, sign-off and forward time cards to corporate office as required.</li><li>
Ensure efficient project closeout, including completion of all punch list work, owner training and instruction, transfer of spare parts, final cleanup, demobilization and project records archiving.</li></ul></div><div><b>
