Position Purpose</b></div><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Join RLI&rsquo;s Professional Services Group (PSG) as a Technical Claim Director, where you&rsquo;ll handle complex, multi-party professional liability matters involving architects, engineers, surveyors and other miscellaneous professionals. You&rsquo;ll be part of a collaborative team of examiners focused on resolving technically challenging claims with nuanced expert analysis, creative problem-solving and intensive contractual risk transfer analysis. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of claims across a nationwide coverage area, requiring strategic thinking, detailed investigation, and discerning attorney management. We&rsquo;re looking for someone who can proactively manage a balanced caseload, share knowledge with the team, and uphold RLI&rsquo;s reputation for technical excellence and proactive claims handling.</b></h3><div></div><div><b>
Principal Duties &amp; Responsibilities</b></div><ul><li><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Proactively and autonomously handle professional liability claims involving design and miscellaneous professional matters. Employee will handle both litigation and pre-litigation disputes to achieve optimum payout results by resolving claims fairly, expeditiously, and economically.</b></h3></li><li><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Assess and analyze coverage issues on claims, and issue appropriate coverage letters and documentation.</b></h3></li><li><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Complete timely investigation of claims and post appropriate reserves.</b></h3></li><li><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Pursue risk transfer opportunities, including dealing with contractual indemnity and additional insured issues.</b></h3></li><li><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Handle claims in accordance with RLI's Best Practices.</b></h3></li><li><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Resolve claims in timely manner to an effective outcome.</b></h3></li><li><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

The base salary range for the position is listed below. Please note that the base salary is only one component of our robust total rewards package at RLI.
