<div><div><div>We&rsquo;re looking for a <b>Transformer Test Technician II </b>with hands-on experience in transformer testing and repair who&rsquo;s ready to support mission-critical power projects across the U.S. This field-based role focuses on performing and documenting advanced electrical tests and troubleshooting for a wide range of OEM transformers. You&rsquo;ll work independently or as part of a crew to ensure reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction.<br>
<br>
<b>What You&rsquo;ll Do:</b></div>
<ul><li>Perform transformer testing and troubleshooting, including Megger, TTR, SFRA, Power Factor, and Core Ground</li>
<li>Support passivation testing and verification of transformer accessories</li>
<li>Test alarms and system protections in transformers</li>
<li>Troubleshoot control wiring issues and support repair efforts</li>
<li>Follow OEM, utility, and end-user testing specifications</li>
<li>Accurately document test results and generate customer reports</li>
<li>Operate industrial and construction equipment safely</li>
<li>Maintain and inspect tools, vehicles, and equipment</li>
<li>Adhere to all company safety and environmental protocols (especially spill containment)</li>
<li>Follow strict safety and PPE usage protocols due to noise, electrical hazards, and elevated work areas</li>
</ul><div><b>The Experience We&rsquo;re Looking For:</b></div>
<ul><li>3&ndash;5 years of experience in transformer testing or services</li>
<li>Prior experience with transformer oil work and assembly (including degassing and oil processing)</li>
<li>Strong understanding of Load Tap Changers</li>
<li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic digital platforms</li>
<li>Ability to read technical drawings, scopes, and wiring diagrams</li>
<li>Experience preparing units for disposal following environmental standards</li>
</ul><div><b>Additional Requirements:</b></div>
<ul><li>Willingness to travel up to 80% across the continental U.S.</li>
<li>High school diploma or GED required</li>
<li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li>
<li>Must pass a background check and drug/alcohol screening</li>
<li>Legally authorized to work in the United States</li>
<li>Available for extended and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays</li>
<li>Requires good vision, hearing, and English proficiency for safe, effective communication in noisy environments</li>
</ul><div><b>Bonus Points for:</b></div>
<ul><li>Extensive experience with Power Factor, SFRA, TTR, and other diagnostic tests</li>
<li>Test software familiarity and reporting systems</li>
<li>Previous leadership or mentorship in field testing crews</li>

<li>Class A CDL</li>
<li>OSHA and TWIC certifications</li>

Transformer Test Technician II

<div><div><div>We&rsquo;re looking for a<b> Transformer Technician Supervisor </b>to lead field teams in transformer assembly, testing, and service for critical energy infrastructure projects across the U.S. This supervisory role involves overseeing all aspects of transformer installation and maintenance, including oil processing, component replacement, and field testing. You&rsquo;ll play a hands-on role in complex service jobs while mentoring junior technicians and upholding RMS Energy&rsquo;s high safety and quality standards.<br>
<br>
<b>What You&rsquo;ll Do:</b></div>
<ul><li>Supervise transformer assembly, including radiators, bushings, conservators, and accessories</li>
<li>Lead degassing operations, pressure/vacuum testing, and oil sampling procedures</li>
<li>Manage re-gasketing and O-ring fabrication, and installation</li>
<li>Oversee teardown and prep of damaged units for transport or disposal</li>
<li>Troubleshoot and repair transformer control wiring and ensure safety and reliability</li>
<li>Conduct advanced transformer testing: Megger, TTR, SFRA, Power Factor, Core Ground, and passivation/system protection alarms</li>
<li>Perform OEM, utility, and customer-mandated electrical tests</li>
<li>Document and submit test results with a high degree of accuracy</li>
<li>Maintain safe use and condition of tools, vehicles, and testing equipment</li>
<li>Enforce strict compliance with safety protocols, especially environmental containment</li>
<li>Operate construction and industrial equipment safely within load/capacity limits</li>
<li>Follow strict safety and PPE usage protocols due to noise, electrical hazards, and elevated work areas</li>
</ul><div><b>The Experience We&rsquo;re Looking For:</b></div>
<ul><li>5&ndash;10 years of experience in transformer oil work, testing, assembly, or service</li>
<li>Experience interpreting scopes, drawings, and technical documents</li>
<li>Advanced Load Tap Changer experience</li>
<li>Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and online platforms</li>
</ul><div><b>Additional Requirements:</b></div>
<ul><li>Willingness to travel up to 80% across the continental U.S.</li>
<li>High school diploma or GED</li>
<li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li>
<li>Must pass a DOT physical, background check, and drug/alcohol screening</li>
<li>Legally authorized to work in the United States</li>
<li>Available for extended and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays</li>
<li>Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs., working outdoors in all weather, at heights (100+ ft), in confined spaces, and around high-voltage equipment</li>
<li>Requires good vision, hearing, and English proficiency for safe, effective communication in noisy environments</li>
</ul><div><b>Bonus Points for:</b></div>
<ul><li>Prior experience leading transformer service teams</li>
<li>Understanding of transformer oil testing procedures and reporting</li>
<li>Familiarity with transformer disposal preparation</li>
<li>Knowledge of oil processing and degassing best practices</li>
<li>Class A CDL, OSHA, and/ or TWIC card</li>
<li>Technical training or certification in transformer repair or electrical systems</li>
<li>Experience with transformer testing software or OEM systems</li>
