Responsibilities</h2>
This is a remote position overseeing US Vestas Projects with a 25% travel minimum.
Responsibilities
As Field Manager, you will:<ul><li>
Oversee technician hiring, time off and timecard approvals, and career development.</li><li>
Identify training needs and close skill gaps by cross-training team members to build core strengths.</li></ul><ul><li>
Support Site Leadership and assist with project management at site.</li><li>
Build processes, procedures, and work desk instructions for safe operation of the sites.</li><li>
Serve as the front-line communicator to customers, site leaders, and teams.</li><li>
Assist customers with annual budgeting for improvements, repairs, and campaigns.</li><li>
Join weekly/monthly customer performance calls and provide monthly site summaries to Performance Engineering.</li><li>
Schedule and plan work to minimize downtime and ensure team safety.</li><li>
Manage CMMS work order reviews for accuracy and out-of-scope billing.</li><li>
Track inspections, schedules, and parts consumption through CMMS.</li><li>
Partner with leadership to identify and improve inefficiencies, processes, and gaps.</li><li>
Lead by example&mdash;set the standard for safety, quality, and excellence.</li><li>
Identify turbine performance issues and develop plans for corrective action, ideally during scheduled maintenance.</li><li>
Ensure all equipment operates with only approved solutions, hardware, and software.</li><li>
Perform quality checks to confirm that the technician and contractor's work meets standards.</li><li>
Coordinate large corrective work with contractors as needed.</li><li>
Champion a strong EHS culture, utilizing stop-work authority when necessary.</li><li>
Plan and schedule outages with customers as needed.</li><li>
Follow all NERC, NFPA70E, OSHA, company, and customer regulations.</li><li>
Document service activity and parts use with digital reporting systems.</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
2+ years of direct experience in Energy Generation and leadership.</li><li>
Regional travel required.</li><li>
Renewable Energy Vestas WTG experience, high voltage, and worker safety experience preferred.</li><li>
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.</li><li>
Ability to lead projects, assign tasks, prioritize activities, and interface with customers.</li><li>
Ability to interpret customer requirements and provide final deliverables (including as-builts and test results).</li><li>
Proficiency with test equipment and manufacturer literature.</li><li>
Knowledge of OSHA, NERC, and NFPA 70E standards.</li><li>
Strong problem-solving, leadership, and mentoring skills.</li></ul>
Additional Requirements<ul><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license with a clean driving record.</li><li>
Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.</li><li>
Able to travel for site visits, meetings, and training.</li><li>
Able to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and lift to 50 lbs.</li><li>
Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in variable outdoor conditions.</li></ul>

About the role
This is remote position overseeing projects and crews in the Central Valley California area requiring 25% travel minimum.
