<b>Position Summary:</b><br>
The Equipment Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, maintaining, and repairing company equipment. This role involves reading and understanding equipment operations and maintenance manuals, conducting inspections, and identifying equipment malfunctions or areas for repair and replacement. Additionally, the technician assists with on-the-job training for employees and recommends improvements to enhance equipment reliability and performance. The role includes managing inventory control of tools, parts, and supplies, while developing cost-saving initiatives.<br>

<b>Key Responsibilities:</b></div>
<ul><li>Assemble, test, and maintain equipment.</li>
<li>Perform regular inspections to identify malfunctions and handle repairs or replacements.</li>
<li>Assist with employee training and supervision of shop helpers.</li>
<li>Maintain and track inventory of parts, tools, and shop supplies.</li>
<li>Monitor and report on equipment repair statuses.</li>
<li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.</li>
<li>Collaborate with vendors to improve cost efficiency and ensure proper servicing.</li>
<li>Ensure equipment repairs and servicing are conducted per company safety policies.</li>
<li>Complete work orders and accurately document repairs, including parts, labor, and costs.</li>
<li>Manage fleet service programs, ensuring vehicles are serviced on time in collaboration with vendors.</li>
<li>Record maintenance and repair procedures for future reference.<br>
</li></ul><div><b>Essential Functions:</b></div>
<ul><li>Oversee and train shop support staff.</li>
<li>Maintain inventory levels of parts and tools.</li>
<li>Ensure all equipment is repaired or serviced as needed.</li>
<li>Collaborate with vendors on equipment cost improvement.</li>
<li>Complete equipment check sheets and work orders efficiently.</li>
<li>Provide reports on work performed and suggest performance improvements.</li>
<li>Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records of work orders and parts used.</li>
<li>Perform mechanical repairs, maintenance, and inspections as assigned.</li>

<div></div><div><b>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</b></div>
<ul><li>Electronics, hydraulic, and welding experience.</li>
<li>Ability to operate a skid-steer (forklift).</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of DOT requirements related to fleet operations.</li>
<li>Ability to disassemble, calibrate, and maintain equipment.</li>
<li>Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems.</li>
<li>Strong English communication skills and problem-solving abilities.</li>
</ul>
<div></div><div><b>Physical Requirements:</b></div>
<ul><li>Ability to climb, kneel, and work with arms lifted for extended periods.</li>
<li>Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly.</li>
<li>Ability to walk and stand on concrete or uneven surfaces for at least 4 hours.</li>
<li>Comfortable working around machines with moving parts, petroleum, or chemical products.</li>
<li>Ability to work in extreme temperatures (hot or cold).</li>
</ul>

<ul><li>Strong work ethic and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Must provide basic hand tools.</li>
<li>Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.</li>
<li>Ability to work extended or standby hours on an &quot;on-call&quot; basis.</li>
<li>Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required by project needs.</li>
<li>Must pass a drug test and DOT physical exam.</li>
<li>Proficient in basic computer skills.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience in welding, metal fabrication, and equipment calibration.</li>
<li>Meticulous attention to detail and strong decision-making skills.</li>
<li>Strong communication abilities, with a command of the English language.</li>
