<div>We are in search of an adept and seasoned Associate Attorney with expertise in Guardianship &amp; Litigation to join our growing law firm in Boca Raton, FL. 
The ideal candidate will exhibit initiative, thrive in a courtroom setting, and effectively manage assigned legal cases. Exposure or experience in the behavioral sector or in behavioral health law is not required but strongly preferred.<ul><li>

Compensation:
$110,000 - $150,000 year
Responsibilities:
Legal Representation:<ul><li>
Provide expert legal representation to clients in matters related to the Marchman Act &amp; Guardianship.</li><li>
Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each case.</li><li>
Prepare and file necessary legal documents, petitions, and motions.</li></ul>
Courtroom Advocacy:<ul><li>
Attend court hearings and proceedings on behalf of clients.</li><li>
Prepare clients for court hearings.</li><li>
Present compelling arguments and evidence to support client cases.</li><li>
Engage in negotiations and settlements when appropriate.</li></ul>
Client Consultation:<ul><li>
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and concerns.</li><li>
Provide clear and concise legal advice to clients.</li><li>
Keep clients informed about the progress of their cases.</li></ul>
Collaboration:<ul><li>
Collaborate with other attorneys, legal professionals, and staff within the firm.</li><li>
Work closely with external stakeholders, including social workers, medical professionals, and court officials.</li></ul>
Compliance and Ethics:<ul><li>
Ensure all legal activities and processes comply with relevant laws and ethical standards.</li><li>
Stay updated on changes in legislation and case law related to guardianship and behavioral health.</li></ul>
Documentation and Record Keeping:<ul><li>
Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.</li><li>
Prepare detailed reports for clients and the firm as needed.</li></ul>
Professional Development:<ul><li>
Stay informed about developments in guardianship and behavioral health law.</li><li>
Attend continuing legal education (CLE) programs to enhance expertise.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
Required:<ul><li>
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.</li><li>
Admission to the state bar in Florida.</li><li>
3-5 years of experience in Litigation</li><li>
Proven courtroom experience.</li><li>
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.</li><li>
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.</li><li>
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li></ul>
Preferred:<ul><li>
Guardianship, Marchman Act, and/or Behavioral Health Law experience.</li></ul>
