The Opportunity: 
​This position is responsible for managing the current and future HPV product portfolio on the cobas® x800 family of instruments for the U.S. market. Reporting to the Group Marketing Manager on the Molecular Diagnostics Reagents team, you will be the strategic lead for your portfolio, collaborating with global partners to shape current and future products based on U.S. market requirements. You will drive product marketing strategies and launches and serve as the subject matter expert for all portfolio-related matters, including disease state and in-depth market knowledge. You will engage directly with customers to inform our portfolio strategy. This requires working with minimal supervision across a cross-functional team, inspiring influence, and proactively communicating progress to leadership.

This role is in Analytical Data Science, a core function within Product Development Data Sciences (PDD) that provides strategic leadership and scientific rigor across Development at Roche. PDD Analytical Data Science teams are mobilized across the portfolio to generate data-driven insights, identify opportunities for scale, and implement impactful solutions.
 
PDD Analytical Data Science is recognized as a leading hub for top industry talent, operating as an agile workforce to deliver regulatory commitments across the portfolio. We identify, influence, and adopt industry-leading digital and automation solutions, develop analytical approaches to support exploratory analyses, and align statistical programming practices across both early- and late-stage clinical development.
 
The Opportunity: 
TheAnalytical Data Science Programmeris a key contributor to the clinical study team, responsible for transforming statistical analysis plans into high-quality, traceable programming deliverables. This includes both static and dynamic outputs, such as tables, listings, figures, and interactive data visualizations or dashboards. The role involves creating and validating datasets in accordance with Study Data Tabulation Model and Analysis Data Model standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Roche standards. In addition to supporting regulatory submissions, the ADS Programmer plays a critical role in generating data insights through platforms such as the Insight Engine, enabling real-time exploration and interpretation of diverse clinical and exploratory data. This role contributes to a modern, insight-driven development environment by facilitating robust, timely, and decision-enabling analytics across clinical programs.
 
<ul>
<li>You independently develop, validate, and maintain datasets and statistical outputs for clinical trials, including Study Data Tabulation Model (SDTM) datasets, Analysis Data Model (ADaM) datasets, and tables, listings, and figures (TLFs), ensuring programming accuracy, traceability, and compliance with internal processes and regulatory expectations</li>
<li>You develop and support programming outputs across a wide range of data types, including exploratory biomarker data and real-world data, to support both regulatory and scientific objectives</li>
<li>You collaborate on exploratory analyses that span disease areas and therapeutic areas, enabling insight generation to inform drug development strategies</li>
<li>You support the creation and refinement of interactive tools and analytical applications (e.g., dashboards or visual data platforms) that enable dynamic exploration of integrated datasets by scientific and clinical teams</li>
<li>You provide programming leadership for assigned studies, coordinating deliverables across internal and external programming partners to meet study timelines and requirements</li>
<li>You interpret statistical analysis plans and translate them into executable programming specifications to ensure scientific rigor in outputs</li>
<li>You troubleshoot and resolve technical programming challenges with limited supervision, proactively identifying risks and implementing effective solutions while meeting timelines</li>
<li>You contribute to the design and maintenance of standard macros and reusable components, promoting efficiency and consistency across multiple studies and projects</li>
<li>You document programming workflows and maintain audit trails, ensuring study files are complete, traceable, and inspection-ready</li>
<li>You work cross-functionally with stakeholders, including biostatistics, data management, and clinical operations, to define programming timelines and deliverables</li>

Who you are: 
<ul>
<li>You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Life Sciences, or a related field</li>
<li>You have solid experience in statistical programming in a clinical development setting, or an advanced degree with equivalent work experience</li>
<li>You are proficient in or have working knowledge of a modern programming language (such as SAS or R) and visualization/review tools</li>
<li>You have a deep understanding of statistical quality, endpoints, and QC processes</li>
<li>You have experience with Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) standards (e.g., SDTM and ADaM)</li>
<li>You bring expertise in handling and analyzing different types of data (multi-modal)</li>
<li>You have demonstrated ability to deliver programming outputs independently</li>
<li>You demonstrate respect for cultural differences when interacting with colleagues in the global workplace</li>
<li>You are fluent in English</li>

The Position
 
In alignment with our core corporate purpose—"Doing now what patients need next"—the Material Safety Lead provides strategic, enterprise-level leadership to ensure the safe procurement, handling, inventory control, and lifecycle management of our clinical diagnostics portfolio and associated laboratory reagents within a warehouse environment.
 
The Opportunity
 
This position champions an agile and highly collaborative approach on the following:

<li>Strategic Partnership& Visibility: Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders such as (Engineering, SHE, and Business Insights) to design code-compliant storage infrastructure(s). You will influence and own the warehouse's hazard containment roadmap, presenting predictive risk models and inventory trends.</li>
<li>Culture of Excellence: Cultivate a proactive safety culture and implement best practices from potential safety events into continuous process refinements. You will design and govern our safety architectures, including the immediate enforcement of structural changes or inventory caps (MAQs) required by code.</li>
<li>Operational Velocity& Strategic Mitigation: Optimize the high-velocity diagnostic supply chain while maintaining strict regulatory compliance, organizational integrity, and operational focus. Upon identifying systemic problems, you will implement permanent corrective actions.</li>
</ul>
What You Do
 
<ul>
<li>Develop and implement a compelling safety vision that directly links rigorous hazardous and corrosive material storage to clinical product integrity and uninterrupted patient care.</li>
<li>Actively monitor and anticipate shifts in global, national, and local environmental, chemical, and building safety frameworks (OSHA, EPA, NFPA) to engineer resilient, future-proof facility controls.</li>
<li>Partner with key stakeholders to design and implement warehouse storage infrastructures that mitigate chemical reactivity.</li>
<li>Develop matrix-based safety grids to optimize storage configurations.</li>
<li>Establish and audit baseline safe storage protocols for non-hazardous and high-density inventory, ensuring structural integrity through proper rack load distribution, pallet overhang compliance, and the strict maintenance of unobstructed longitudinal and transverse flue spaces.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Data Analytics to architect predictive inventory modeling systems, monitoring total storage volumes against local fire code Maximum Allowable Quantities (MAQs).</li>
<li>Develop work instructions and education tools to create awareness of best-in-class storage practices for materials.</li>
<li>Serve as the liaison between Warehouse Logistics, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Corporate SHE networks to cultivate a unified, site-wide culture of safety.</li>
<li>Lead the technical evaluation and risk mitigation strategies required during the integration of new storage automation, digital Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or shifting product portfolio demands.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain a technical understanding of cold-chain safety boundaries and cryogenic risks to ensure facility storage conditions consistently preserve diagnostic efficacy.</li>
<li>Utilize enterprise data systems or business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, SAP, PowerBI) to track leading safety indicators and model warehouse storage inventory limits.</li>
</ul>
Who You Are
 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Occupational Health& Safety, Chemistry, Industrial Hygiene, or a related clinical/scientific discipline.</li>
<li>5-7 years of progressive environmental health and safety or process engineering leadership with documented success spanning both analytical laboratory environments and high-density warehouse storage operations.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Professional Credentials
 
<ul>
<li>Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)</li>
<li>Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Chemical Hygiene Officer (CHO).</li>
<li>Advanced, demonstrable command of NFPA 30 (Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code) and NFPA 400 (Hazardous Materials Code) within industrial facility architectures.</li>
<li>Robust understanding of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as they apply to medical-grade, climate-controlled environments.</li>
</ul>
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana Base Pay Range $104,000 - $193,100 Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance, as well as participation in a long-term incentive program.
