Job Description
Under limited supervision, performs technical work within the dental clinic and laboratory; assist and tutor students in carrying out clinical and laboratory experiences and assignments; oversees daily activities of the clinic and laboratory; manages lab, equipment, and supply/inventory control; manages patient privacy and safety protocols for the Dental Assisting and Hygiene programs.
Salary Range:
$21.89 - $30.58 / hour
Minimum Qualifications
Post-secondary or industry certificate/diploma/degree or relevant licensure in Dental Assisting/Dental Hygiene.
OR
Six months of teaching/tutoring experience in Dental Assisting/Dental Hygiene at the high school level or above.
OR
2 years of work experience in Dental Assisting/Dental Hygiene where no degree/certificate/diploma/licensure is required
OR
An equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualification
Knowledge of:<ul><li>
Dental equipment is sufficient to instruct others in its proper use and to perform routine maintenance.</li><li>
Dental practices, techniques, and safety standards to adequately prepare lab materials and experiments.</li><li>
Computer software and technology to effectively operate in a dental clinic.</li><li>
Human relations and communication skills to create a positive work environment.</li></ul>
Ability to:<ul><li>
Communicate orally with students and instructors through short lectures, demonstrations, or discussions, plan, assign, and evaluate the work of students in the performance of routine lab work.</li><li>
Develop and maintain reports.</li><li>
Make independent decisions and solve problems within the scope of the position.</li><li>
Coordinate and prioritize work assignments effectively and efficiently</li><li>
Maintain confidentiality in dealing with faculty, staff, students, and patients.</li><li>
Occasionally lift up to 40 lbs, stand and/or sit for long periods of time.</li></ul>

Job Description
Rochester Community and Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Aviation Instructor to teach in the Aviation Pilot program for the Fall 26' semester. This position may include instruction in ground school and other aviation-related coursework.
The Adjunct Aviation Instructor will provide instruction in Aviation Pilot program courses. Teaching assignments may include topics such as Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, and CFI ground school courses, as well as Advanced Aircraft Systems or Aviation Human Factors. The successful candidate will demonstrate competency in aviation instruction and a strong commitment to student learning.
Start date for this position is 8/24/2026.

Salary Range:
Per contract / Adjunct faculty salary schedule
Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree</li><li>
2 full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid occupational experience as a pilot and/or flight instructor, including a minimum of 200 hours of dual instruction.</li><li>
1 year of this work experience must be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field.</li><li>
The recency requirement will be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.</li><li>
Must also hold Certified Flight Instructor &ndash; Airplane (CFI) and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) credentials.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualification
Competency to teach Aviation Pilot program courses such as:<ul><li>
Private Pilot ground school</li><li>
Instrument ground school</li><li>
Commercial ground school</li><li>
CFI ground school</li><li>
Advanced Aircraft Systems</li><li>
Aviation Human Factors.</li><li>
Prior postsecondary teaching experience is preferred.</li></ul>
