Pest Control &amp; Wildlife TechnicianPosition Summary The Pest Control &amp; Wildlife Technician at Rock Pest Control is responsible for delivering high-quality wildlife control services with supplemental pest control work, focusing approximately 75% on wildlife activities and 25% on general pest control. This role includes trapping, exclusion, remediation, and repair work for nuisance animals, along with performing residential and light commercial pest control services. Transparency: We practice open-book management, transparent communication, and honest feedback.What Success Looks Like<ul><li>Wildlife issues are resolved fully through proper trapping, exclusion, and repair, preventing reinfestation.</li><li>Pest control services are completed consistently and effectively, maintaining customer satisfaction.</li><li>Jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and with strong attention to detail across all service types.</li><li>Customers trust the technician&rsquo;s expertise and refer Rock Pest Control to others.</li><li>Equipment, vehicles, and workspaces are clean, organized, and ready for daily operations.</li></ul>Objectives (Key Results Areas)<ul><li>Inspect properties to identify wildlife entry points, nesting areas, and damage, developing effective removal and exclusion plans.</li><li>Perform trapping, removal, and relocation of nuisance wildlife in compliance with regulations and company standards.</li><li>Complete exclusion and repair work, including sealing entry points, replacing vents, repairing soffits, and addressing structural damage.</li><li>Conduct attic and crawl space work, including sanitation, cleanup, and restoration from wildlife contamination.</li><li>Operate ladders and lifts safely while completing work on roofs, multi-story homes, and elevated structures.</li><li>Maintain traps, tools, and equipment to ensure proper function and safe operation at all times.</li><li>Perform residential pest control services, including initial, quarterly, and bimonthly treatments as assigned.</li><li>Apply pest control products safely and in accordance with label laws, PPE requirements, and company procedures.</li><li>Communicate clearly with customers, explaining findings, services performed, and preventative recommendations.</li><li>Document all work thoroughly in FieldRoutes, including notes, photos, and completed services.</li><li>Maintain clean, organized trucks and ensure all tools and materials are properly stored and job-ready.</li><li>Work efficiently to complete all scheduled routes while maintaining high-quality service standards.</li></ul>Competencies Problem Solving &amp; Field Awareness &ndash; Evaluates structures, animal behavior, and environmental conditions to determine the most effective and lasting solutions in real time. Hands-On Craftsmanship &ndash; Completes exclusion repairs and pest treatments with precision, ensuring durable, professional results that prevent recurring issues. Safety &amp; Risk Management &ndash; Maintains constant awareness when working at heights, in attics, or with wildlife, following all safety protocols without exception. Customer Communication &ndash; Builds trust by clearly explaining issues, solutions, and expectations while maintaining professionalism in all interactions. Efficiency &amp; Execution &ndash; Manages time, tools, and routes effectively to complete work at a consistent pace without sacrificing quality.Education and ExperienceInitial 90-Day Onboarding Period The first 90 days serve as a mutual evaluation period to ensure culture, performance, and technical alignment. Both parties assess fit, commitment, and consistency.Licensing and Certification Requirements Must obtain Structural Pest Control licensing within 90 days. Wildlife control certifications and any required state licensing must be obtained and maintained. Ongoing training is required and supported by Rock Pest Control.Experience Minimum of one (1) year of experience in pest control, wildlife control, construction, or a related field preferred. Experience with trapping, exclusion work, or general repairs is highly valued.Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and carry 50&ndash;75 lbs regularly. Must be comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, and tight or contaminated environments. Must be able to climb ladders up to two to three stories and operate lifts safely. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, including hot attic conditions.
