Role</b>:</p><p>
The Financial Advisor is responsible for delivering comprehensive financial guidance to credit union members and prospective members. This includes conducting in-depth fact-finding discussions, assessing financial goals and risk tolerance, and providing tailored investment and insurance recommendations that align with each member's needs.<br>

The advisor is expected to deliver an exceptional member experience by building trusted relationships, offering clear and proactive financial solutions, and effectively identifying opportunities to cross-sell credit union products and services. This role directly supports the credit union's mission and vision by consistently applying established service standards and contributing to a culture of member-focused excellence.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities</b>:</p><p>
60% Meets with members and prospective members to understand their financial goals, assess needs, and provide comprehensive financial advice in alignment with regulatory guidelines and credit union standards. Delivers tailored recommendations for investment, insurance, and retirement planning solutions to help members achieve long-term financial success.</p><p></p><p><br>
10% Plans, organizes, and conducts educational seminars, workshops, and other marketing-focused activities to deepen member engagement, generate leads, and promote the credit union&rsquo;s financial advisory services.</p><p></p><p><br>
10% Maintains and grows an existing book of business by conducting regular outreach, scheduling annual and periodic reviews, and ensuring ongoing communication to support strong member relationships and sustained asset retention.</p><p></p><p><br>
5% Provides guidance, support, and direction to Licensed and Non-Licensed Assistants, ensuring operational efficiency, adherence to compliance requirements, and delivery of a high-quality member experience.</p><p></p><p><br>
5% Actively represents the credit union through involvement in community events, professional associations, and local initiatives to enhance visibility, strengthen relationships and promote the credit union's mission.</p><p></p><p><br>
5% Maintains and enhances professional expertise by staying current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and continuing education requirements. Ensures all licenses, appointments, and credentials are up to date and in good standing.</p><p></p><p><br>
5% Proactively performs additional duties as assigned, including strengthening product knowledge, identifying new opportunities to serve members, and supporting strategic initiatives that contribute to the credit union&rsquo;s overall success.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Knowledge &amp; Skills</b>:</p><p><b>
Experience</b>: One year to three years of similar or related experience.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Education</b>: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Interpersonal Skills</b>: The ability to establish positive relationships with members of the credit union, members of the community as well as credit union staff is essential. A positive and friendly attitude with all levels of staff is necessary to form the relationships necessary for departmental success.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Other Skills</b>: Must be licensed with a Series 7 and Series 66 as well as insured for life and health in applicable state</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Physical Requirements</b>: Some lifting required (up to 30 pounds), continuous sitting, occasional standing and occasional walking. Finger dexterity while using computer. Occasional talking and hearing in person and on the telephone. Continuous clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and continuous clarity of vision at 20 feet or more.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Work Environment</b>: This job is an exempt position that requires flexibility in scheduling tasks and projects. The employee must independently monitor hours and judge the time needed to be spent on applicable duties. Employee must be capable of proactively adjusting to unpredictable schedules. Role:</b></div><div>
Support and assists all areas of Rogue Credit Union (Rogue) cards processes and services. Actively anticipates and addresses common member concerns related to debit, credit and ATM card billing discrepancies, card requests, transaction denials, disputed charges, fraudulent activities, and limit enhancements within established regulatory and procedural deadlines, utilizing expertise in card program. Identifies and supports ways to enhance member loyalty, expand member relationships, increase operational efficiencies, and balance risk for the credit union. Works in conjunction with the department to support Rogue's Vision, Mission, and Values.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities:</b></div><div>
65% Strong understanding of duties related to the cards area including but not limited to; all internal and external member inquiries related to the cards area which includes processing new card orders, returned cards, Co-Op Adjustments, investigating and processing card disputes, performing routine maintenance on existing cards, card issuance, card transaction research, troubleshoot reported card-related issues and fraud reporting. Maintains a general knowledge and understanding of key system operations, rules, regulations, and credit union policies and guidelines surrounding card processing to ensure processing limits, liabilities and timelines are adhered to.</div><div></div><div><br>
20% Provides exceptional internal member service experiences through various communication channels in a friendly and professional manner using Rogue&rsquo;s Service Promises to assist, educate, empower, and complete member requests. Provides unsurpassed external member service to resolve and complete member requests promptly and accurately. Reviews payment reports and communicates with management regarding trends and/or areas of concern.</div><div></div><div><br>
10% Actively cross-trains with teammates and sub-teams to expand knowledge and provide backup support as requested. Identifies opportunities for member and interdepartmental education, procedure refinement and process improvement opportunities. Routinely reviews processes and procedures and proactively completes and/or reports updates.</div><div></div><div><br>
5% Proactively performs other related duties as needed assigned.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Knowledge and Skills:</b></div><div><b>
Experience:</b> One month to two years of similar or related experience or knowledge of credit, debit, ATM products and procedures preferred.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Education:</b> A high school education or GED.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Interpersonal Skills:</b> Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside of the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Other Skills:</b> Must be able to operate a 10-key calculator by touch. Must be computer proficient and ready to use PC spreadsheet software. Must have good productivity with the ability to manage the workload and meet deadlines. Must be thorough and have an eye for detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Active listening skills, with deductive reasoning ability. Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Physical Requirements: </b>Some adjusting or moving objects up to 30 pounds in all directions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers while using computer. Communicating with others to exchange information. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discernments in sound. Close and continuous visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Work Environment:</b> Normal workday with occasional overtime. May include early morning, evening or weekend work. May include evening or early morning travel with overnight stays.
