Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Your expertise will help support our organization&rsquo;s financial health and operational efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your accounting skills in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the success of our organization&rsquo;s financial management.Duties<ul><li>Record and process journal entries using various accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Quicken</li><li>Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data</li><li>Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions efficiently</li><li>Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly</li><li>Prepare financial reports, including income statements, cash flow statements, and budgets</li><li>Maintain detailed records of payroll, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements</li><li>Assist with budgeting processes and provide support for technical accounting tasks such as double entry bookkeeping and account reconciliation</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms</li><li>Strong understanding of GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices</li><li>Knowledge of corporate accounting principles and non-profit accounting is highly desirable</li><li>Familiarity with financial concepts including debits &amp; credits, journal entries, general ledger accounting, and account analysis</li><li>Ability to perform bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately</li><li>Excellent attention to detail with proficiency in 10 key typing for data entry accuracy</li><li>Experience with payroll processing, tax experience, and financial report writing is preferred</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently</li></ul>Join us in a role that empowers you to leverage your bookkeeping expertise while supporting our organization&rsquo;s financial integrity.
