As a full-time <b>Retail Sales Associate / Merchandising Associate</b> at Room &amp; Board's Outlet, you will be part of a 6-person team. Together, you'll handle weekly semi-trailer loads of American-made furniture and home furnishings, transforming our 11,000 sq. ft. Outlet into a highly admired shopping destination for our loyal brand enthusiasts.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Location: </b>2525 West 22nd Street, Oak Brook, IL 60523</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Schedule:</b></p><p>
Work Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays (10:30am&ndash;7:00pm) and Sundays (9:30am&ndash;6:00pm)<br>
Days Off: Wednesdays &amp; Saturdays</p><p></p><p><br>
What you&rsquo;ll be responsible for as a <b>Retail Sales Associate/Merchandising Associate</b>:</p><p><b>

Receiving &amp; Inventory Management:
</b></div><ul><li>Safely offload two semi-trailer loads weekly using proper equipment to minimize damage and injuries.</li><li>
Verify shipments for accuracy within SAP and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.</li><li>
Provide feedback to distribution partners on load safety, accuracy, and efficiency.</li><li>
Participate in regular inventory counts and collaborate with peers to research and resolve discrepancies.</li><li>
Proactively manage product levels and replenishment to maximize sales and margin</li></ul><div><b>
Merchandising &amp; Showroom Presentation</b></div><ul><li>
Relocate, stage, and merchandise products to create an inspiring and shoppable showroom environment.</li><li>
Balance visual presentation with maximizing floor space for optimum sales.</li><li>
Finalize daily showroom readiness, including tagging, product details, cleaning, and organization.</li><li>
Assist in strategic product pricing to maintain margin goals.</li><li>
Maintain consistent standards of cleanliness and organization in both the sales floor and back room.</li></ul><div><b>
Customer Engagement &amp; Sales</b></div><ul><li>
Engage with customers to support their shopping experience and represent our brand with authenticity and care.</li><li>
Process sales within SAP with accuracy and efficiency.</li><li>
Share product knowledge and guide peers to strengthen team expertise.</li></ul><p><b>

The qualifications you&rsquo;ll bring as a Retail Sales Associate/Merchandising Associate:</b><b> Retail Sales Associate / Merchandising Associate</b></p><ul><li>
3+ years experience in roles involving related skills and responsibilities</li><li>
An understanding of the importance of safe working habits as you ensure the safe, accurate and efficient handling of our furniture.</li><li>
Ability to lift 75-100 pounds independently throughout the day.</li><li>
Ability to pass a physical abilities test related to the role.</li><li>
Experience with Microsoft Office</li><li>
Ability to provide proof of identity and legal work authorization upon hire</li></ul><div><b>

Salary:</b> $53,000 - $58,000 / year ($25.48 - $27.88/ hour)<br>
<i>Our salary is guaranteed with occasional paid overtime. Salary offered is based on experience/qualifications.</i></li><li><b>
