Medical Assistant Instructor duties include:</h1><ul><li>
Teach in the Medical Assisting classroom with a maximum of 24 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.</li><li>
Class sessions are 4.5 hours in either day or evening sessions.</li><li>
Learning the material and delivering lectures and demonstrations, working from the Ross lesson plans and curriculum.</li><li>
This is a part-time, as needed position, typically 0-9 hours per week, more if you can teach morning an evening classes.</li></ul>

Requirements</h1><ul><li>
3+ years&rsquo; experience in the medical assisting field and formal training from an accredited institution. Must be able to obtain a national certification as medical assistant. Individuals without a formal education, must have with a minimum of 5+ years&rsquo; experience working in the medical field and a national certification. Additional requirements or exceptions may be applicable based on the state, program, and accreditation requirements.</li><li>
Interest in teaching or prior experience</li><li>
Must be flexible and have a passion to learn and grow</li></ul>

The Classroom Aide may help Primary or Secondary Instructors in the classroom, and students who need tutoring in individual and group sessions. Aides may also proctor exams. The Classroom Aide works under the direct supervision of the Associate Director and with support from the Full Time Instructor or other faculty.
The Classroom Aide must never be delivering Primary Instruction or Proficiency Completion to students but can be a resource to support student tutoring and remediation needs.
Aide Duties may include:<ul><li>
Aiding with computers and other technology in the classroom</li><li>
Setting up labs and doing other classroom prep
</li><li>Helping with hands-on activities in the classroom</li><li>
Other non-teaching classroom or tutoring duties as assigned</li><li>
Giving tutoring to students as scheduled by the Associate Director</li></ul><ul><li>
Assisting with restocking and cleaning of the classroom</li><li>
Assisting with orientation prep and other orientation tasks to assist students</li><li>
Proctoring exams for nursing students while following guidelines established in proctor training</li><li>
All work is to be performed on campus</li></ul>
Classroom Aides must conduct themselves in accordance with the Ross Guidelines, which include but are not limited to the following:<ul><li>
Maintaining a positive attitude towards faculty, classmates, and tutees</li><li>
Maintaining confidentiality of student information and academic performance</li><li>
Abiding by all standards of academic integrity &ndash; including cheating and plagiarism</li><li>

Requirements<ul><li>
Graduate from a Ross Medical Education Center program as a Medical Assistant or Dental Assistant
</li><li>For graduates of diploma or degree programs outside of Ross: 1 or more years work experience in their allied health field</li><li>
National MA certification (RMA, CMA, CCMA, CMAA, NCMA) or National DA certification (CDA, RDA) a plus</li><li>
Must have sufficient ability to move around the building and classroom to satisfy student needs and/or facilitate student participation.
