Overview and Responsibilities
 
 
Summary
 
We are seeking a dedicated Field Trainer . This position is responsible for training our employees in our Patient Account Department (PAD) on process flows, Rotech policies and procedures, payor qualifications, medical necessity, documentation requirements, eIntake and IMBS functionality. Work directly with the PAD Director and Director of Training to ensure training is effective and efficient; ensures consistency with company ethics, standards, policies and procedures and ensures government compliance guidelines and all regulations are followed.
 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 
<ul><li>Travel 10%
</li><li>Creates and maintains constructive working relationships with management staff and executive staff
</li><li>Ensures consistent communication of the PAD process flow, compliance information by utilizing available mechanisms (i.e., DME regional center websites, internal and external newsletters, web boards, inter-company websites, reimbursements Q/A, etc.)
</li><li>Participates in department and company meetings, events, etc.
</li><li>Provides clear documentation on training for each PAD associate
</li><li>Remains current in company processes and changes through review of pertinent publications, newsletters, workshops and self-study
</li><li>Reports findings and resolution of problematic issues and areas as well as general guidance to the PAD staff on how to manage and prevent similar situations from reoccurring
</li><li>Reports to the Director of Training and PAD Director the status of all training projects
</li><li>Responsible for development of written and electronic training materials
</li><li>Responsible for ongoing training of PAD staff as new processes or process failures are identified.
</li><li>Responsible for on-site PAD training to include problems identified by the PAD management, supervisory staff, or Internal Audit (e.g.; excessive paperwork errors, payer education, timeliness issues, working reports assistance and etc.)
</li><li>Work directly with Director of Training and PAD Director to plan and prepare for PAD new hire training
</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned
</li></ul> 
Qualifications
 
 
Employment is contingent on
 
<ul><li>Background investigation (company-wide)
</li><li>Drug screen (when applicable for the position)
</li><li>Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)
</li></ul>Education and/or Experience
 
<ul><li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in healthcare or related field is desired
</li><li>One year directly-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and directly-related experience in durable medical equipment prosthetics orthotics and supplies (DMEPOS), billing and collections and training
</li><li>Experience in Rotech operations preferred
</li><li>Experience with Medicare coverage and billing guidelines for DMEPOS is preferred
</li><li>Extensive experience with IMBS and/or eIntake preferred
</li><li>Strong customer service background
</li></ul>Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
 
<ul><li>Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written, with physicians, location employees and patients to ensure questions and concerns are processed in a timely manner
</li><li>Helpful, knowledgeable and polite while maintaining a positive attitude
</li><li>Interprets a variety of instructions in a variety of communication mediums and evaluate problems and determine appropriate resolutions
</li><li>Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or Home Medical Equipment (HME)
</li><li>Knowledge of federal payer program regulations and guidelines
</li><li>Knowledge of insurance policies and requirements
</li><li>Knowledge of medical billing practices and of billing reimbursement
</li><li>Maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
</li><li>Make effective presentations to management and employees with a high degree of professionalism and confidence
</li><li>Medical terminology
</li><li>Multi-task along with attention to detail
</li><li>Respond effectively to sensitive topics while creating and monitoring corrective action plans
</li><li>Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
</li><li>Strong conflict resolution skills
</li><li>Work independently and as part of a team with minimal to no supervision
</li><li>Write detailed reports, summaries and action plans
