<div><p><b>Rothman Orthopaedics</b> is looking to hire a <b>part time Physical Therapy Front Desk Receptionist </b>based in our <b>Blue Bell, PA </b>office! This position will require travel to other offices within the region for coverage purposes.</p><p><b>
Schedule: </b>Monday through Thursday 2 PM to 6 PM (16 hours per week)</p><p><b>
Job Summary:
</b></p><p>The <i>Physical Therapy Front Desk Receptionist </i>greets, instructs, directs and schedules patients and visitors. This individual verifies insurance benefit for all PT/OT appointments and ensures all visits are properly authorized. This individual serves as liaison between patient and PT/OT Staff.</p><p><b>
Key Accountabilities:</b>
</p><p>Increased patient satisfaction, co-pay collection, referral capture, time stamping accuracy, accuracy in demographic and insurance capture, time management (attendance and overtime), chart prep for insurance, co-pay and referral, cross training to assist in other areas</p><p><b>
Essential Duties:
</b></p><ul><li>Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.</li><li>
Checks in patients, verifies and updates demographic and insurance information in eCW.</li><li>
Update the eCW system on patients&rsquo; arrival and referral information.</li><li>
Utilizes eCW to enter co-payments and notes to the Business Office.</li><li>
Checks out and makes patient follow-up appointment with Physical Therapy Provider.</li><li>
Handles direct scheduling duties for physical therapists to include incoming patient calls and overall schedule management to maximize clinic and therapist flow including time off.</li><li>
Verifies and documents physical therapy and/or DME/splint benefits for all new incoming patients.</li><li>
Ensures proper forms and clinical information is submitted to insurance companies to obtain insurance authorization as determined in verification process.</li><li>
Track authorized PT visits, unit and time limits. Informs therapist when additional visits need to be requested and provides therapist the appropriate forms, should clinical information be required for insurance authorization for initial and ongoing visits.</li><li>
Creates a new patient packet that includes: PT benefit verification form, physical or hand therapy questionnaire and prescription.</li><li>
Utilize eCW to scan patient documents. To include: PT benefit verification forms, authorizations, questionnaires, prescriptions and home exercise programs.</li><li>
Collects self-pay and supply payments as indicated on the fee schedules on the RI Intranet tab (Therapy tab).</li><li>
Answers telephone, screens calls, takes messages, and provides information.</li><li>
Assist patients with ambulatory difficulties.</li><li>
Screens visitors and responds to routine requests for information.</li><li>
Maintains work area and lobby in neat and orderly manner.</li><li>
Re-supply front desk for the day.</li><li>
Collect applicable insurance co-pay information and referrals.</li><li>
Batch out and balance end of day payments.</li><li>
Assist other front desk personnel in situations with irate patients.</li><li>
Prepare all work for the next business day including referral number, authorization number for Physical/Occupational Therapy visits and splints.</li><li>
Print out all related paperwork for patients&rsquo; appointments with the therapist.</li><li>
Works in conjunction with the Patient Responsible team to collect past due balances.</li><li>
Attends meetings as required.</li><li>
Performs related work as required.</li><li>

Minimum Requirements:
</b></p><ul><li>High School diploma or GED minimum education requirement.</li><li>
Minimum of one years' experience in medical office environment.</li><li>

Part Time Front Desk Receptionist - Physical Therapy

<div><p><b>Job Summary:</b></p><p>
The Medical Assistant provides assistance to the Physician and Physician's Assistant with daily administrative and clinical duties.</p><p><b>
Key Accountabilities:
</b></p><p>Increase patient satisfaction, compliance with schedule prep, voicemail, accurate end of day batching, compliance with time stamping, compliance with clinical policies and procedures, wait times, timeliness and accuracy with pre certs and authorizations
</p><p><b>Essential Duties:</b></p><ul><li>
Greets patients in the waiting room and escorts them to the exam room. Directs patient throughout the patient experience including to orthotics, rehab, surgery scheduling, xray and/or front desk</li><li>
Maintains order, cleanliness, and inventory in the exam room, and prepares exam room for patients to enter.</li><li>
Cleans and autoclaves instruments.</li><li>
Provides and scans proper paperwork into the chart for Physician's review.</li><li>
Obtains and records vitals per Physician's request.</li><li>
Prepares injections for the Physician as per protocols.</li><li>
Pulls up x-rays, MRI's, CT's, and various studies, including reports associated, pertaining to the patient's exam.</li><li>
Assists patient with clothing when necessary.</li><li>
Disposes of bio hazardous waste and sharps according to OSHA regulation, and replaces sharps containers when existing containers are full.</li><li>
Answers telephones in patient treatment areas.</li><li>
Requests, obtains and uploads reports from various facilities for Physicians to have available for review.</li><li>
Empties and restocks laundry.</li><li>
Scans appointment tracking to identify when patients are ready to be seen by the Physician and directs Physician in patient appointment order.</li><li>
Reviews Physician schedules for chart preparation including ensuring operative reports, dictations, and studies are present in the chart.</li><li>
Completes pre-certifications for MRI's, injectable, and other Physician orders as necessary.</li><li>
Scans appointment tracking to identify when patients are ready to be seen by the Physician and directs Physician in patient appointment order.</li><li>
