Success Coaches serve as trusted partners, guiding students through registration, transfer credit questions, and resource navigation while building meaningful, student-first relationships.

  What will you be doing?

   You will proactively engage and manage a caseload of online students across degree and certificate programs, providing personalized academic guidance and holistic support.
  </li>
  <li>
   You will develop individualized degree plans, assist with registration, provide preliminary transfer credit estimates, and guide students from admission through first-term enrollment and beyond.
  </li>
  <li>
   You will communicate regularly with students via phone, email, text, and virtual meetings, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all interactions in the system of record.
  </li>
  <li>
   You will leverage reports and dashboards to identify trends, prioritize outreach, and intervene early with students who may be at risk.
  </li>
  <li>
   You will serve as a concierge for university resources, connecting students to academic, financial, and personal support services, and participate in orientations, webinars, recruitment events, and engagement initiatives.

  What do we require from you?

   Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited institution. Preference: Master&rsquo;s degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Student Affairs, or a related field.
  </li>
  <li>
   At least two years of experience in academic advising, counseling, student success, or student affairs, preferably in higher education (additional relevant education may substitute for experience).
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience working with online, adult, transfer, or non-traditional students is strongly preferred.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ability to work effectively in a technology-driven environment with frequent data use and high student interaction.
  </li>
  <li>
   Proficiency with student information systems, CRM platforms, and advising tools (e.g., Banner, Starfish).
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  </li>
  <li>
   Demonstrated customer service orientation and ability to build trust with diverse student populations.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ability to use data and dashboards to guide outreach and intervention strategies.
  </li>
  <li>
   Must have a track record of measurable success and achievement.

 In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is AFT: Range 21 ($63,833 - $73,416), with placement within the range determined by candidate's qualifications, professional experience, internal equity, and other factors.
 <br/>
 <br/>
 For internal applicants, salary is determined per the Pay Adjustment formula (NJAC 4A:3-4.9 &amp; 4.10)
 <br/>
 <br/>

<div>The Technologies and Reference Librarian oversees library technologies at the HBS Library and serves as the primary contact for electronic resource support at Rowan-Virtua SOM, ensuring seamless access and functionality for students, faculty, clinicians, and researchers. In addition, this librarian provides reference and instruction services that support the educational, research, and clinical missions of Rowan-Virtua SOM and Virtua Health College programs.</div>

<ul><li>Administers Springshare platforms (LibGuides, LibAnswers, LibCal including template development, FAQs, and content creation</li></ul>

<ul><li>Collaborates with HBS Library staff to establish policies, standards, and procedures related to technology and library systems; coordinates with Rowan University Libraries (RUL) to align system-wide settings and best practices.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Serves as content manager for the HBS Library website, ensuring consistency with RUL and Rowan University standards, workflows, and design principles.</li></ul>
<div></div>
<ul><li>Acts as the primary HBS Library representative on RUL technology teams, leading efforts to evaluate, implement, and manage library technologies and systems.</li></ul>

<div><b>User Support &amp; Troubleshooting:</b></div>

<ul><li>Provides end-user support and technical troubleshooting for library resource access and systems, both on- and off-campus.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Develop FAQs, tutorials, and help documentation to assist users in resolving technology issues.</li></ul>

<div><b>Outreach and Professional Development:</b></div>

<ul><li>Serves on Rowan University Library committees, task forces, and teams, as well as on appropriate Rowan-Virtua SOM and Virtua Health College committees and task forces. (e.g., Library Systems Committee).</li></ul>

<ul><li>Maintain expertise in health sciences information resources and instructional technologies.</li></ul>
