Job Summary:</b></p><p>
The Maintenance Technician will utilize his or her maintenance/repair skills along with mechanical abilities to safely maximize plant availability and provide upkeep of the property buildings, grounds and utilities.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):</b></p><ul><li>
Repair, installation and maintenance of all plant equipment, buildings, grounds and utilities with minimal supervision.</li><li>
Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and P&amp;ID diagrams and manuals in order to effectively carry out job assignments.</li><li>
Maintain and calibrate various instrumentation installed in the facility, such as automated valves and metering devices.</li><li>
Ability to troubleshoot, repair/replace and install new instrumentation devices.</li><li>
Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and install new electrical piping and equipment heat trace systems.</li><li>
Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of plant PLC systems.</li><li>
Support operations technicians on task training in preventative maintenance and minor repairs.</li><li>
Works with other maintenance personnel to provide required support.</li><li>
Able to perform preventative maintenance and repairs of facility fleet vehicles.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities):</b></p><p>
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.</p><p>
 Required:</p><ul><li>
Seven+ years mechanical/electrical maintenance experience in the chemical or manufacturing industry (Industrial trade school attendance may be considered work experience).</li><li>
High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li><li>
Requires lifting and handling of heavy objects; must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.</li><li>
Ability to climb ladders and storage tank stairs (approx. 50' in height) for maintenance, inspection, and gauging operations.</li><li>
Work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.</li><li>
Able to wear PPE (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, respirator and safety work boots) as required</li><li>
Available for shifts and occasional on-call rotation (nights and/or weekends) to respond to plant &quot;call-outs&quot; as required.</li><li>
Understanding of State and Federal OSHA and EPA industry standards.</li><li>
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word).</li><li>
Good time management skills (manage overtime).</li><li>
Able to work in a Team environment.</li></ul><p></p><p><br>
Skills &amp; Ability</p><ul><li>
Instrumentation repair, installation and maintenance of digital and/or analog equipment.</li><li>
Experience supervising electrical/mechanical work.</li><li>
Experience estimating/pricing/bidding electrical work.</li><li>
Experience purchasing materials for mechanical/electrical work.</li><li>
Welding (Stick; structural, pipe).</li><li>
Pipefitting (welded, threaded, glued/plastic).</li></ul><p></p><p><br>
Safety Expectations</p><ul><li>
Promote a culture of safety both in the office and in the plant.</li><li>
Participate in Safety and Environmental Audits and area inspections.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
 Physical Demands and Work Environment</b></p><ul><li>
Requires lifting and handling of heavy objects; must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.</li><li>
Ability to push, pull, sit, stand, crouch, reach, and have visual acuity.</li><li>
Ability to climb ladders and storage tank stairs (approx. 50' in height) for maintenance, inspection, and gauging operations.</li><li>
Work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.</li><li>
Able to run &amp; help maintain process equipment.</li><li>
Able to wear PPE (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, respirator and safety work boots) as required.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
