New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is looking for a Senior Laboratory Instrument Services Technician for a full time position with our client.Compensation: $90,000 - $125,000/yr M-F, core hours, onsiteAs a Senior Laboratory Instrument Services Technician, you will calibrate, maintain, and complete the major repairs of scientific instrumentation. This person is responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>Take apart, examine, clean, fix, calibrate, check, and take care of lab instrumentation, systems, and controls.</li><li>Operate test equipment including multimeters and tachometers. Testing/measuring includes but not limited to humidity, temperature, CO2, and O2.</li><li>Coordinate the removal of equipment requiring extensive repairs during scheduled maintenance periods.</li><li>Troubleshoot, service or resolve problems while performing unscheduled work.</li><li>Record and report abnormal functions or out-of-tolerance conditions of equipment. If needed, start corrective action and documentation.</li><li>Coordinate with external contractors on repairs covered by maintenance agreements. Communicate with customer staff and outside contractors about the calibration, repair, and operation of equipment.</li><li>Locate part sources, estimate costs, and prepare requisitions.</li><li>Track instrument and part reliability; make alternate service, supplier, and parts recommendations.</li><li>Assisting with the development of equipment maintenance, and calibration procedures.</li><li>Impact the quality of own work.</li><li>Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.</li><li>Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma</li><li>2-3 years of job-related experience.</li><li>Prior experience working in a lab environment within a pharmaceutical company.</li><li>Experience working with Incubators and Microscopes and performing preventative maintenance &amp; repairs on this type of equipment.</li><li>Pipette calibration experience</li><li>Experience with analytical equipment such as HPLC's (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) and GC's (Gas Chromatography)</li><li>Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems and attention to detail.</li><li>Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.</li><li>Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.</li><li>Intermediate math skills.
