RSC Mechanical is a rapidly expanding HVAC/R contracting company that provides services across the United States. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and adaptable Purchasing Assistant to join our Purchasing Department and become an integral part of our business.
What We&rsquo;re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is looking for an entry-level role. No prior experience is required as we&rsquo;ll teach you everything you need to know. If you&rsquo;re dependable, eager to learn, and ready to work with a great team, we want to hear from you!
As a Purchasing Assistant, you will be responsible for:<ul><li>
Setting up equipment rentals and managing the process efficiently.</li><li>
Researching pricing and requesting quotes for orders from various sources.</li><li>
Writing and submitting proposals to customers for job approvals.</li><li>
Tracking orders and following up on updates within our database.</li><li>
Ensuring all orders are processed and updated on time.</li><li>
Utilizing excellent phone and computer skills to manage and communicate ordering data.</li><li>
Coordinating with technicians, manufacturers, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations.</li><li>
Managing returns, handling the warranty process, and verifying shipping/receiving accuracy.</li><li>
Collaborating with multiple departments to keep everything running smoothly.</li></ul>
Ideal Qualifications &amp; Skills:<ul><li>
Fast, accurate, and efficient data entry skills.</li><li>
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.</li><li>
Efficient follow-through on tasks and responsibilities.</li><li>
Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy, especially when meeting deadlines.</li><li>
Proven ability to maintain positive working relationships and communicate effectively.</li><li>
Excellent note-taking and organizational skills.</li><li>
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions.</li><li>
Previous experience in sales or tooling is a bonus.</li></ul>

Compensation: $17&ndash;$18 per hour to start, with opportunities for growth based on performance.
Schedule: Monday&ndash;Friday: 8:00 AM &ndash; 5:00 PM.
Work Location: Fully on-site in Clinton Township, MI.
