Job OverviewWe are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fiber Splicer to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional integrity and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. If you have a strong background in fiber splicing and are looking to work in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Fiber Splicing: Perform precise splicing of both single fiber and ribbon fiber cables up to 864F.</li><li>Documentation &amp; Reporting: Interpret splice schematics, prints, maps, and work orders. Maintain accurate daily production records and as-built documentation.</li><li>Equipment Handling: Set up various enclosures such as Preform Coyote Closures, FOSC 450D, and FOSC 600 cases.</li><li>Testing &amp; Quality Assurance: Conduct fiber optic cable testing using OTDRs and other relevant test equipment.</li><li>Scheduled Cutovers: Work night shifts as required during scheduled cutovers and system changes.</li><li>Emergency Support: Participate in an on-call rotation for outages and emergency situations.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Field Experience: Proven experience in field service, specifically in fiber splicing.</li><li>Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of telecommunication systems, splicing techniques, and cabling methods.</li><li>Equipment Proficiency: Ability to operate bucket trucks and other industry-specific machinery.</li><li>Physical Capability: Skilled in climbing and working in various field conditions, including construction sites.</li><li>Licensing: Must have a valid driver's license and be comfortable driving to various job locations.</li><li>Safety Awareness: Demonstrated experience working safely with hand tools and adhering to site-specific safety protocols.</li></ul>Additional Requirements<ul><li>Must have experience working in BACKBONE fiber for telecommunication companies.</li><li>Must be available for night shifts and on-call rotations.</li><li>Strong communication skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work in varying weather conditions and challenging environments.</li><li>Minimum of 6 months fiber splicing experience required to apply.</li><li>Must be at least 21 years of age to apply.</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Competitive salary and benefits package.</li><li>Opportunities for career growth and professional development.</li><li>Supportive team environment with a focus on safety and excellence.</li></ul>If you meet the above qualifications and are ready to contribute your expertise to a growing organization, apply now to join our team as a Fiber Splicer!Job Type: Full-timePay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Physical Setting:<ul><li>Construction site</li><li>Outdoor work</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Please list the fiber optic splicing equipment that you have used.</li><li>Which telecommunications companies&rsquo; backbone fiber networks have you performed splicing work on?</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>fiber optic splicing: 2 years (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Aubrey, TX 76227 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Aubrey, TX 76227: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
