Rug &amp; Kilim is seeking an Accounting/Bookkeeping candidate to join the growing Accounting Department in our Long Island City trade showroom. The ideal candidate will have strong, versatile skills in general bookkeeping, archives and follow-up.Who We Want: Those who are willing to expand Accounting/Bookkeeping experience by learning, interacting with our sales and Logistic team and most importantly with upper management. We&rsquo;re a well-run team working with some of the most prominent showrooms, interior designers and architects.Chief Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist Staff Accountant with day-to-day operations.</li><li>Overview General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and processing of semi-monthly Payroll.</li><li>Post journal entries for all receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.</li><li>Become aware of necessary information to be provided by manufacturers in India and remote facilities.</li></ul>Ideal Experience:<ul><li>2-3 + Years of Relevant Experience in Inventory Control</li><li>3 Years Minimum in Bookkeeping/Accounting.</li><li>2-3 + Years of QuickBooks (Online Preferred).</li><li>Strong Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office, Paychex &amp; Google Suite ideal).</li><li>Proven experience with Vlookup &amp; Pivot Tables (Ideal).</li><li>Additional experience with E-Commerce Inventory or Wholesale Inventory welcomed.</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's in Accounting or a related field (preferred but not required).</li></ul>Compensation:<ul><li>Salary competitive, commensurate with experience</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Eligibility for Health Insurance following grace period</li><li>Paid Time Off</li><li>Opportunity to work in a warm environment with a welcoming staff</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Schedule:<ul><li>Monday to Friday</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Accounting: 2 years (Preferred)</li><li>Bookkeeping: 3 years (Preferred)</li><li>QuickBooks: 2 years (Preferred)</li></ul>Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
