In this energetic position, you'll assist optometrists by preparing patients, conducting preliminary assessments, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in optometry/ophthalmology, medical records management, and patient care within a fast-paced, supportive setting.Duties<ul><li>Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with the intake process to ensure accurate medical records.</li><li>Prepare patients for examinations by performing preliminary tests including auto refraction, non-contact tonometry, lensometry, taking retinal photography, visual field testing, and Optical coherence tomography (OCT)</li><li>Support the clinical team by managing electronic health records (EHR) systems</li><li>Educate patients on eye health, medication instructions, and proper use of contact lenses or glasses.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Prior experience in medical office settings or optometry clinics is highly preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.</li><li>Experience with intake procedures and medical records management.</li><li>Ability to demonstrate aseptic technique during clinical procedures and maintain a clean environment.</li><li>Proficiency in using EMR systems</li><li>Excellent communication skills combined with retail sales experience to support front desk duties and patient interactions.</li></ul>We&rsquo;re committed to fostering growth, supporting your professional development, and creating an inclusive environment where every team member thrives.Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Bereavement leave</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Parental leave</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Uniform allowance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
