As the Technical Estimator at RVI, your primary responsibility will be to provide the sales department with estimates and technical support.
As the Technical Estimator, your responsibilities will include:
<ul><li>Prepare estimates by utilizing blueprints, specifications, and related documents</li><li>
Determine accuracy and completeness of information provided</li><li>
Maintain information in a structured and organized manner</li><li>
Identify labor, material, and time requirements</li><li>
Present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information</li><li>
Maintain accurate estimating tools and update as needed</li><li>
Maintain cost database by entering and backing up data</li><li>
Continually update technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications</li><li>
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed for meeting and/or exceeding goals and strategies</li></ul>
What are we looking for in a quality candidate?<ul><li>
Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and word processing programs</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications</li><li>
Ability to coordinate and work independently</li><li>
Knowledge of CAD software and/or other engineering software</li><li>
Experience with Zuken or similar electrical design software preferred</li><li>
Ability to meet critical timelines for responses</li><li>
Ability to communicate professionally and technically with Client Contacts</li><li>
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)</li><li>
Associate's (A.A.) Degree or two-year college or technical school</li><li>
2+ years of related experience</li></ul>

Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable.
