</p><div><div><p>The <b>Solar Farm Technician II </b>performs preventative and corrective maintenance for all scopes of an operating power plant, including civil, mechanical, and electrical inspection and repair.
</p><p>Role Responsibilities:
</p><ul><li>Test, maintain, and troubleshoot solar PV electrical and mechanical equipment
</li><li>Ensure that all tasks are performed safely and by site operating procedures
</li><li>Complete Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), JSA&rsquo;s, Permit to Work, and job-specific documentation that is required to conduct inspection, maintenance, and repairs in a safe manner
</li><li>Proactively look for improvement opportunities to job appropriate processes and procedures
</li><li>Perform data collection and prepare reports to meet reporting requirements
</li><li>Perform balance of plant and switchyard work as required
</li><li>Monitor the activities of maintenance contractors and ensure corrective actions where appropriate
</li><li>Perform electrical testing as necessary, including insulation and thermal testing
</li><li>Document all work and generate reports as necessary
</li><li>Use Microsoft Office for communication, presentation, and documentation
</li><li>Use computer software in support of maintenance and troubleshooting
</li><li>Identify gaps in safety standards and safety risks in the environment
</li><li>At times, may assist with BOP activities
</li><li>Respond quickly to emergencies or situations requiring immediate troubleshooting and corrective actions
</li><li>Ensure site access, site HSE, security, deliveries, and inspections are performed by site protocols
</li><li>Interface with any 3rd party contractors working at our facilities
</li><li>Available to respond to nontraditional operating hours for operations, maintenance, and emergent issues, including emergent abnormal operating conditions, execution of maintenance, tracking work orders, resolution of O&amp;M issues
</li><li>Operate mobile equipment including mowers, forklift, tractor, excavator, and motor vehicles
</li><li>Represent the company in a professional manner with contractor and vendor relations, as well as during partnership opportunities within the community
</li><li>All other duties as assigned
</li></ul><p><b>Job Requirements and Experiences:
</b></p><ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent required
</li><li>Associate degree in engineering or related field from an accredited US school other than correspondence or internet preferred.
</li><li>NABCEP Certfication or Electrical License preferred
</li><li>Unrestricted driver license in good standing
</li><li>Minimum 2 years of work experience as a maintenance electrician (commercial or industrial), or 4 years of experience as a multi-craft maintenance technician performing electrical work on operating equipment; or two years experience in operations and maintenance of power generation, transmission, or distribution
</li><li>Preference will be given to the candidate with experience in solar O&amp;M
</li><li>Must be skilled in at least one of the following: power plant operations, electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance; substation maintenance
</li><li>Must be competent in power plant safety protocols
</li><li>Must be competent in electrical safety
</li><li>Must be competent in understanding the NEC
</li><li>Knowledge of and experience with the use of hand and power tools
</li><li>Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures
</li><li>Ability to work within tight deadlines, and evolving schedules
</li><li>Ability and willingness to travel to and from job sites as assigned, including supporting other sites
</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team
</li><li>Routine operation of a computer/tablet and other office productivity machineries, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
</li><li>Frequent oral and written communications
</li><li>Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
</li><li>Complete all required training in a satisfactory manner and timeframe
</li><li>First aid/CPR/AED
</li><li>OSHA Certified
</li><li>Shift work
</li><li>Must be trainable
</li><li>Must be adaptive to new technologies and methods
</li><li>Must take ownership of responsibilies and look beyond the work task, with regards to discovering new opportunities for corrective work
</li><li>Must communicate verbally and orally at an extremely high level

</b></p><ul><li>Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
</li><li>Ability to walk, climb, and stand extensively during the work day
</li><li>Ability to push/pull/lift tools and equipment weighing up to and over 50 lbs.
</li><li>This position is a field-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE office and field locations
