<div>Job Summary

The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization&rsquo;s financial records, ensuring accuracy in daily transactions, and supporting overall accounting operations. This hybrid role combines transactional bookkeeping duties with broader accounting responsibilities, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced with accounting systems such as NetSuite or QuickBooks. 
Role and Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Record and post financial transactions in appropriate accounts using accounting software</li>
<li>Receive, process, and document vouchers, invoices, cash receipts, and checks</li>
<li>Track invoices, payments, and maintain accurate account ledgers</li>
<li>Review financial records and postings for accuracy; identify and correct discrepancies or errors</li>
<li>Reconcile bank statements and internal accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy</li>
<li>Organize and maintain financial documents, including receipts, invoices, and filing systems</li>
<li>Support month-end and year-end closing processes</li>
<li>Maintain strong internal controls and ensure proper recordkeeping practice</li></ul> 


Preferred Skills
<ul>
<li>Experience with NetSuite and/or QuickBooks preferred</li>
<li>Proficiency in bookkeeping software and Microsoft Excel</li>
<li>Strong understanding of accounting principles, processes, and financial reporting</li>
<li>Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy</li>
<li>Strong organizational and time-management skills</li>
<li>Analytical thinking with problem-solving capabilities</li>
<li>Integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial information</li>
<li>Strong mathematical and reconciliation skills</li>
<li>Willingness to learn and stay current with financial regulations and best practices</li></ul> 


This role is primarily remote but it is preferred the employee lives in the Philadelphia region's '5 county area' (Delaware, Chester, Bucks, Montgomery, or Philadelphia county)
