Job Purpose Summary: Responsible for the administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources functions. Provide support to the Company&rsquo;s leaders to promote communication and a positive Company culture.Responsibilities:&middot; Annually reviews and makes recommendations to Executive Management for improvement of Company's policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters.&middot; Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures Company's compliance.&middot; Responsible for Company compliance with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.&middot; Communicates changes in Company personnel policies and procedures and ensures proper compliance is followed.&middot; Assists Executive Management in the annual review, preparation and administration of Company wage and salary program.&middot; Coordinates and/or conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation.&middot; Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, and/or as directed by the Managing Director on personnel matters.&middot; Works directly with department managers to assist them in fulfilling their responsibilities on personnel matters.&middot; Recommends, evaluates, and participates in staff development for the Company.&middot; Develop and maintain a human resources system that meets Company personnel information needs.&middot; All hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations will be directed by this position. Terminations require the Managing Director&rsquo;s approval.&middot; Coordinate completion of all unemployment compensation paperwork submitted to the Department of Labor. Attend all hearings with appropriate staff.&middot; Supervises any department personnel directly to ensure all responsibilities in their job description are being met.&middot; Responsible for Company compliance with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.&middot; Assist in communicating changes in Company personnel policies and procedures to employees and ensure proper compliance is followed.&middot; Responsible for managing the hiring process of employees in all departments.&middot; Assist in the review of documentation to ensure all required onsite records and reports are completely accurate and submitted by established procedures. (personnel files)&middot; Administer Company benefits, track all benefits, Cobra, and ensure the Company meets all ACA regulations.&middot; Conduct new hire orientation, ensure all paperwork is completed properly. Support the other department managers during the orientation process i.e. Safety, Fleet, Operations, etc.&middot; Keep an accurate log of employee PTO, flextime and input the information into the schedule tracking calendar and the PTO spreadsheet.&middot; Make sure employee I-9 records are in compliance, file electronically through E-Verify and store them in the I-9 binders.&middot; Gather necessary information from department managers to accurately fill out employee disciplinary action forms. Assist department managers in administering disciplinary actions.&middot; Assist and support the investigation of safety incidents including Worker&rsquo;s Compensation, accidents, and incidents.&middot; Work with the Safety Manager to manage all L&amp;I, OSHA, etc., complaints.&middot; Conduct reviews of employee evaluations prior to being administered, and ensure reviews are being conducted constructively, with ample information.&middot; Complete EEO reviews as necessary and attend all required audits.&middot; Perform various EEO trainings, and document EEO trainings.&middot; Work with department managers to ensure job descriptions are accurate and up to date, as necessary.&middot; Maintain employee census.&middot; Post job ads, screen applicants, and perform interviews. Provide managers with candidate feedback.&middot; Create a working atmosphere that promotes openness and a high level of enthusiasm and morale in the office and the field.&middot; Lead any Succession planning initiatives and compile documents.&middot; Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.&middot; Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.&middot; Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.&middot; Conforms to all safety rules and uses all appropriate safety equipment.&middot; Support and assist the HR activities of all US companies under the parent umbrella.&middot; Compile all necessary documentation and information on any HR reporting required and requested by Global and/or leadership.Skills:&middot; Computer skills &ndash; proficient knowledge of word, excel, e-mail and internet.&middot; Customer Service &ndash; responds promptly to customer needs, responds to requests for service and assistance from internal and external customers; meet commitments.&middot; Oral Communication &ndash; proficient in the skill of negotiation; speaks clearly in positive and negative situations; responds well to questions; participates in meetings.&middot; People Skills &ndash; focus on solving conflict, not blaming; maintain confidentiality; listen to others without interrupting; keep emotions under control; remain open to others&rsquo; ideas and try new things or processes.&middot; Written communication &ndash; write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar; present numerical data effectively; ability to read and interpret written information.&middot; Ability to follow directions in an accurate and expedient manner.&middot; Above average organizational skills must be able to multi-task and prioritize.&middot; Elevated level of attention to detail.&middot; Must be able to maintain professionalism no matter the stress level of the different departments.&middot; Strong managerial abilities.Qualifications:&middot; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in human resources or equivalent working experience.&middot; Computer skills&middot; Basic language and mathematical skills&middot; Reasoning ability&middot; Be willing to travel as needed.Confidentiality:&middot; The position requires a prominent level of confidentiality. Issues, concerns, or general business should not be discussed with other departments or outside of the Company.Physical Demands:&middot; While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, and do any other moderate activity of typical office personnel.
