Responsibilities:</b></div><div>
These responsibilities include but are not limited to:</div><ul><div><div>
Installation of scanners, wiring, circuits, and equipment to specifications including AC/DC circuitry.</div></div><div><div>
Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to the problems.</div></div><div><div>
Set up and test the scanner to ensure that it functions properly.</div></div><div><div>
Operate scanner to demonstrate proper use and to analyze malfunctions.</div></div><div><div>
Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, use test equipment and software, and apply knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems.</div></div><div><div>
Calibrate testing instruments and install or repair equipment to prescribed specifications.</div></div><div><div>
Advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements.</div></div><div><div>
Inspect components of the scanner for accurate assembly and installation and for defects such as loose connections and frayed wires.</div></div><div><div>
Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures.</div></div><div><div>
Maintain scanner logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, and tests.</div></div><div><div>
Coordinate efforts with other workers involved in installing and maintaining equipment or components.</div></div><div><div>
Consult with customers, supervisors, and engineers to plan the layout of the scanner and to resolve problems in system operation and maintenance.</div></div><div><div>
Send defective units to the manufacturer or to a specialized repair shop for repair.</div></div><div><div>
Determine feasibility of using standardized equipment and develop specifications for equipment required to perform additional functions.</div></div><div><div>
Enter information into computer to copy program or to draw, modify, or store schematics, applying knowledge of software package used.</div></div><div><div>
Develop or modify industrial electronic devices, circuits, and equipment according to available specifications.</div></div></ul><div></div><div><b>
Desired skills and experience:</b></div><ul><div><div>
1 &ndash; 2 years relevant experience in Electrical and Controls.</div></div><div><div>
Associate's Degree in electrical disciplines and programming (two-year college or technical school) or equivalent experience.</div></div><div><div>
Ability to read schematics/electrical prints. Demonstrated electrical and mechanical aptitude.</div></div><div><div>
Ability to write script programs for the scanners.</div></div><div><div>
Ability to program PLCs and troubleshoot systems.</div></div><div><div>
Ability to understand different types of barcode symbology and recommend the right scanner based on the application.</div></div></ul><div></div><div><b>

Amount of Travel Required: 90%</div></div><div><div>
Hold a valid US passport and driver&rsquo;s license</div></div><div><div>
Availability to provide support outside regular working hours when business needs require it.</div></div><div><div>

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Eye Protection) when required<i>.</i></div></div></ul><div></div><div><b>
