Procurement Manager &ndash; YarnsLocation: Kolkata Experience Required: 3-4 years in yarn procurement/sourcing Employment Type: Full-timeRole OverviewWe are seeking a Procurement Manager &ndash; Yarns to lead sourcing strategies(developing &amp; executing) for cotton, polyester, viscose, and blended yarns from India &amp; Overseas. The role involves vendor management, cost optimization, and market intelligence to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement to support our textile and apparel operations.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop and execute yarn sourcing strategies (cotton, polyester, viscose, blends).</li><li>Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers globally and locally.</li><li>Optimize procurement costs while maintaining quality and compliance.</li><li>Build strong relationships with mills, suppliers, and agents.</li><li>Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic audits.</li><li>Track global yarn market trends, price movements, and risks.</li><li>Collaborate with production and planning teams to ensure timely availability.</li><li>Manage inventory levels and procurement lead times.</li><li>Ensure compliance with trade regulations and maintain procurement records.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Textile Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.</li><li>3-4 years of yarn procurement/sourcing experience in textiles, spinning, or apparel industry.</li><li>Strong knowledge of global yarn markets, suppliers, and price trends.</li><li>Proven negotiation, cost control, and vendor management skills.</li><li>Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.</li><li>Strong communication skills (English &amp; local language).</li></ul>Preferred Attributes<ul><li>Experience with sustainable sourcing (organic cotton, recycled polyester, eco-viscose).</li><li>Network of yarn suppliers across Asia, India, Turkey, Vietnam, China, Pakistan, Thailand, Indonesia &amp; Uzbekistan.</li><li>Ability to manage complex, multi-country sourcing operations.</li><li>Strong analytical and leadership abilities.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: &#8377;30,000.00 - &#8377;50,000.00 per monthApplication Question(s):<ul><li>Do you have a Bachelor's Degree in Textile Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field?</li><li>Do you have experience in sustainable sourcing(organic cotton, recycled polyester, ecoviscose)?</li><li>If Yes, how amny years of experience do you have in sourcing/procurement of yarns in textiles, spinning &amp; apparel industry?</li><li>Do you have a strong knowledge of global yarn markets, suppliers &amp; price trends?</li></ul>Work Location: In person
