Responsibilities include:&middot; Maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings and grounds.&middot; Experience with high voltage electricity, control wiring, programming, and relay logic&middot; Experience with design and fabrication&middot; General experience in welding, industrial electricity, electronics, plumbing, and carpentry is required.&middot; The ideal candidate will possess a creative, problem-solving ability to be able to troubleshoot and repair existing and potential problems.&middot; Knowledge of LOTO and OSHA safety rules&middot; The maintenance tech will work with:o Single phase electricity (120V 240V)o Three phase electricity (240V 480V)o 500VDC electricityo Pneumatic pressureo Hydraulic pressureo Mechanical componentso Steam pressureo Chemicalso Driving forklifts&middot; Reliability, communication skills, pride and ability to work as an individual as well as part of a team are also desired traits.&middot; The Maintenance Technician reports to the Production Manager&middot; Willing to work overtime when necessaryMinimum qualifications/education and/or training:<ul><li>High school/GED.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>Forklift training &amp; certification</li><li>At least three to five (3-5) years experience in an industrial maintenance environment</li><li>Ability to perform general maintenance jobs (welding, torching, fabricating, carpentry, plumbing, wiring, etc.)</li></ul>Credentials and/or skills and abilities:&middot; Oral and written communication skills (meetings &amp; maintenance logs).&middot; Mechanical skills.&middot; Demonstrate thinking and creative ability&middot; Be proactive about solving problems, perform preventative maintenance&middot; Use and be familiar with tape measure, hand truck and general maintenance tools &amp; equipment.&middot; Has basic knowledge in two or more specific trades such as machinist, carpentry, pipefitting, electrical or mechanical&middot; Mechanical aptitude&middot; Safety conscious&middot; Ability to follow written and verbal instructions&middot; Eagerness to learn&middot; Ability to jump from one task to another rapidly, repeatedly and without warning.&middot; Not afraid to get dirty&middot; Attention to detail&middot; Computer experience is beneficialEssential Functions:Essential functions may include, but are not limited to the following:<ul><li>Receives and processes maintenance request forms and maintains preventive maintenance schedules for projects</li><li>Records and maintains repair and machine maintenance information.</li><li>Responsible for care and use of supplies, equipment, tools &amp; parts, etc.</li><li>Obtains parts and materials to support efficient execution of scheduled preventive maintenance and work orders.</li><li>Main purpose is to keep us running as efficiently as possible and to help make jobs safer and easier for employees.</li><li>Applies lubricants, oils, or other material to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures.</li><li>Performs mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs</li><li>Building and grounds: Snow removal, ice and other weather-related procedures.</li><li>Follows and promotes continuous improvement of company performance, and of safety and environmental policies and procedures.</li><li>Performs other related duties as may be assigned.</li><li>Works well with others and displays a positive team effort.</li></ul>Marginal Functions:<ul><li>Takes periodic inventory counts of spare equipment, parts, and tools; creates inventory variance and reorder reports for management.</li><li>Suggests improvements to maintenance programs &amp; machinery.</li><li>Participates in shop cleanliness and maintenance procedures.</li><li>Assists in other areas and operates other machines when necessary.</li><li>May make pickups/ deliveries of parts &amp; goods</li></ul>Physical Requirements:Employees in this position must have the ability to:&middot; Stand and walk for extended periods of time.&middot; Use hands to finger, touch or operate machinery and handle parts.&middot; Climb or maintain his/her balance intermittently.&middot; Hear and understand speech at normal levels.&middot; Speak so that other may understand at normal levels.&middot; Stand, walk, bend over, reach overhead, grasp, push, pull and move, lift and/or carry more than 50 pounds to waist height for approximately ten (10) feet.&middot; Lift more than 100 pounds with assistance for a short distance.Work Environment:&middot; Employees in this position will be required to work in an indoor and outdoor environment.&middot; Loud to very loud noise level for the majority of the time. Loud noise is consistent.&middot; Will work near moving mechanical parts. May work in high, precarious places.
