Job Summary Responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of wastewater treatment facilities. This role involves monitoring, controlling, and maintaining equipment and processes that treat and dispose of wastewater to protect public health and the environment. Operators regularly test water samples, adjust chemical dosages, troubleshoot mechanical or process issues, and ensure all operations meet local, state, and federal regulatory standards.Responsibilities<ul><li>&middot; Works directly for the Field Supervisor</li><li>Assist in the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and repair of the wastewater treatment plant, lift stations, effluent facilities, chemical feed systems and the monthly submission of discharge monitoring records (DMR&rsquo;s)</li><li>&middot; Assist with all permitting (PLUP, CLUP, GLUP etc.) of the flood plain and Authority property</li><li>&middot; Assist with division OSSF program</li><li>&middot; Conducts CLUP/PLUP compliance inspections and follow-ups</li><li>&middot; Conducts PLUP audits</li><li>&middot; Assist with water meter readings</li><li>&middot; Assist with the piezometer and extensometer program</li><li>&middot; Assist with LTD buoy program</li><li>&middot; Willing to contribute to a positive work environment</li><li>&middot; Perform any other duties as necessary for the operation of the Sabine River Authority of Texas</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Have High School diploma or GED equivalent</li><li>Have a valid Texas Driver&rsquo;s License and be insurable under the Authority&rsquo;s policy</li><li>Possess a Class C Wastewater Treatment license and two years of field experience</li><li>Be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English</li><li>Be able to swim, walk long distances, and safely lift 75 pounds waist high</li><li>Be able to safely operate a motor boat and work in, on, and around the water</li><li>Be able to wear safety toed footwear</li><li>Be able to climb and work on ladders and to work outdoors under adverse conditions such as heat, cold, rain, insects, poison ivy, snakes, etc.</li><li>Be able to work occasional weekends and be on call</li><li>Be able to learn new skills and have a positive attitude</li><li>Be able to complete in a reasonable period of time all necessary training to obtain all required state licenses and certifications</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per yearSecurity clearance:<ul><li>Confidential (Preferred)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Point, TX 75472 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Point, TX 75472: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
