<div>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Design and follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching material</li><li>
Responsible for overall supervision and daily class functionality</li><li>
Balance your teaching between logical and social exercises</li><li>
Provide basic care and caregiving activities</li><li>
Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance the child's abilities</li><li>
Support emotional wellbeing of the children</li><li>
Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress of their children</li><li>
Observe children's interactions and promote the spirit of concord</li><li>
Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action</li><li>
Collaborate with other colleagues</li><li>
Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by organization policies and procedure</li><li>
Supervise children at all times - in classroom, on playground, on field trips, during parties, etc.</li><li>
Report all injuries/accidents occurring during shift to Center Director</li><li>
Be willing to gain more knowledge, experience, and training in the field of Early Childhood Development by attending Center staff meetings and local, state, regional, and national child care meetings/training.</li><li>
Maintain client, employee, and agency confidentiality.</li><li>
Maintain classroom in a clean and orderly manner.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned.</li></ul> 
REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>
BS or AA in Early Childhood Development, Child Development Associate (CDA), Certificate of Mastery (CoM), Certified Childcare Professional (CCP), or willingness to obtain CDA/CoM/CCP within 18 months of hire.</li><li>
At least one year of experience as classroom teacher in child care setting</li><li>
Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods</li><li>
Ability to create lesson plans</li><li>
Patience, flexibility and love for children</li><li>
Strong communication and time management skills</li><li>
Certificate in mandatory reporter, first aid and CPR or willing to obtain within the first month of employment.</li><li>
Be able to lift children assigned to your care multiple times daily</li><li>
Must pass enhanced background check</li></ul> 
SUPERVISION:<ul><li>Supervised by the Child Care Center Director.</li></ul> 
SALARY LEVEL:
- Annual Salary Range: $35,235 - $47,500</div>

Child Care Teacher

<div>The Attorney General of the Meskwaki Nation provides legal advice, representation, assistance and support to the Meskwaki Nation, its government, departments and enterprises. The Attorney General represents the Nation in all aspects of tribal government, including but not limited to, commercial transactions, contracts, employment and human resources, law enforcement, gaming, application of federal laws relating to Tribal agencies and enterprises (including Self-Determination Act and Tribally-Controlled Schools Act), federal-state jurisdictional issues, taxation issues, economic issues, hunting and fishing rights, tribal taxation, environmental and natural resource law and policy, housing and land issues, Indian Child Welfare Act and enrollment issues. 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Serve as legal advisor to Tribal Council, tribal government departments, and economic enterprises.</li><li>
Represent the Tribe in tribal, state and federal court actions.</li><li>
Assumes responsibility for matters assigned by Tribal Council.</li><li>
Supervise all Tribal legal matters, including projects assigned to Special Counsel.</li><li>
Drafts ordinances, code revisions, resolutions, and legal opinions and conduct legal research.</li><li>
Draft, review and recommend changes to all proposed contracts.</li><li>
Supervise legal department staff and maintain budget.</li><li>
Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with other departments of the Tribe, state and federal officials, departments, and agencies.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned or required.</li></ul> 
REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>
D. Degree from an ABA accredited law school and 5 years experience in Federal Indian Law and State law, with experience in I.H.S. and B.I.A policy.</li><li>
Must be admitted to practice in any state and eligible to be admitted in Meskwaki Tribal Court. Prefer admission in or ability to be admitted in Iowa Bar.</li><li>
Ability to competently handle wide range of complex transactional and litigation matters.</li><li>
Prior legal experience in areas of Indian housing, environmental issues, ICWA, employment law, Indian gaming, contracts, employment, taxation, jurisdictional issues, and economic development in Indian Country.</li><li>
Must have litigation experience and familiarity with federal, state, and local court rules and procedures.</li><li>
Must be able to interpret and apply case law, codes, ordinances and administrative rules.
</li><li>Must be committed to concepts of tribal sovereignty, self-government and Indian self-determination.</li></ul>

Reports to the Tribal Council.</li></ul>
