In this role, you'll be responsible for guiding classes, creating goodwill within our community, owning the teaching room and developing a love &amp; reverence for yoga within your students (as well as guiding them deeper into their bodies). We are seeking an experienced Vinyasa teacher to lead classes on Wednesday evenings &amp; Saturday mornings. We require Saturday availability for this role so please only apply if these hours are open for you...While we do hire less experienced teachers when they have a strong teaching voice and smart sequencing - for this role we are seeking a teacher with at least 2 years of in studio teaching experience and a good grasp of alignment and philosophy. Teaching off your mat, without demo-ing, is also required.Essential Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>Elevate our attention to students &amp; ensure all students feel seen</li><li>Craft classes according to our class descriptions, in an intentional way</li><li>Deliver classes with passion and credibility - teaching off your mat (our teaching style is to demo very little and be off our mats 95% of the time)</li><li>Carry the philosophy of yoga into your teaching and your interactions with students and co-workers.</li><li>Effectively and efficiently communicate with Owner and Teacher Manager</li><li>Keep a tidy and mindful room space including tidying up after each and every class to leave the space how it's meant to be</li><li>Maintaining consistent presence in team SLACK channel, being present for classes 95% of the year, and keeping a positive and team oriented approach work</li></ul>You&rsquo;ll thrive in this position with an outgoing personality, high level of organization, and the ability to build rapport or if you're just an amazing teacher who delivers a rock solid class and is highly accountable.EDUCATION, SKILLS &amp; QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Required - Yoga Teacher Certification at 200HR level +Two Year of Teaching Experience with at least 10 Months of dedicated studio teaching experience</li><li>Required - Highly accountable, on time, consistent communicator</li><li>Required - Customer service skills</li><li>Friendly, outgoing personality with optimistic attitude</li><li>Team player</li><li>Passion for building community &amp; relationships; ability to create meaningful connections with a diverse group</li></ul>About usSacred Thread Yoga is a small, women-owned, inclusive yoga &amp; wellness studio in the Summerhill area near Grant Park. Your per class rate will range $38-50 per class + bonus depending upon experience with a strong monthly bonus program.
