<div></div><div>We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Building Official to join our team of professionals. This position offers great opportunity for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of work assignments. <div></div><div><div><b>COMPENSATION &amp; BENEFITS:</b> Salary: $90,000-$110,000 based on certifications and experience. SAFEbuilt also has a comprehensive benefit offering. <div></div><div><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b></div>
<ul><li>Responsible for meeting all state and locally mandated code compliance and reporting requirements.</li>
<li>Apply knowledge of building codes, policies, and procedures to the day-to-day functions of the building department.</li>
<li>Serve as the primary liaison with our clients in this area and is responsible for ensuring that we deliver the highest level of customer service</li>
<li>Responsible for attending department and community meetings as required by the client.</li>
<li>Perform some plan reviews both commercial and residential in all trades.</li>
<li>Perform inspection support as needed.</li>
<li>Supervise building department staff.</li>
</ul><div><b>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:</b></div>
<ul><li>Be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of local building code regulations, policies and procedures</li>
<li>Have solid computer skills and experience using MS Office programs</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Exercise initiative and display independent judgment</li>
<li>Be self-directed and self-motivated</li>
</ul><div><div><b>EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:</b></div>
<ul><li>OH Commercial Building Official (CBO) (Lvl 5) certification required</li>
<li>OH Residential/Limited Commercial (RLC) (Lvl 3) certification required
<ul><li>(Previously Building, Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Plumbing Inspector and Building Plans Examiner certifications)</li>
</ul></li></ul><div><i>Alternatively</i></div>
<ul><li>OH Comprehensive Code Official (CCO) (Lvl 6) certification accepted</li>
</ul>
<div></div><ul><li>Additional OH certifications are a plus</li>
<li>Inspection experience required</li>
<li>Client and team management experience in a building department setting preferred</li>
<li>Valid driver's license with a good driving record required</li></ul><br>
