Job Summary
The Global Director of Supply Chain will be responsible for setting and executing the strategic direction, deployment, and management of the global supply chain ensuring that customer needs are being met while meeting the cost, inventory, lead-time and cash flow targets for the Business. Also responsible for the distribution of products to customers.
This leader is responsible for building, managing and improving key supply chain processes including the Sales, Operations and Inventory Process; the supplier management process including supplier scorecards, and the supplier development process. This leader will help evolve the supply chain processes from a functional focus to an end-to-end value stream focus. This value stream approach should help identify improvements in the supply chain processes and supply base to best maximize the value stream performance (reduced lead times, higher margins, lower inventory, etc).
This role is a critical SME for the ERP system. Is responsible for providing guidance of use of the system and align it to support the value stream approach. Is also responsible for building and executing a talent strategy to support, develop and mentor direct and indirect reports to improve skills and abilities and grow into high-performance teams.
Essential Job Functions<ul><li>
Leads the organization to excellence in all aspects of the supply chain. Leads in the implementation of global supply chain improvements to improve the organization&rsquo;s ability to respond to customer needs in a timely manner, implement programs, strengthen supplier relations, grow the supplier base, improve organization-wide activities, and mitigate identified risks. Develops excellence in continuous improvement in supply chain processes and with suppliers.
</li><li>Leads Sales &amp; Operations Planning (S&amp;OP). Responsible for the process of planning global product supply - source, working with the sites to make; and deliver to meet revenue plans and customer satisfaction through OTIF metrics. Partners with leaders in other functions to address inventory concerns, plan for promotions, plan for new product introductions, plan for discontinuance of products and create mitigations for supply issues. Develops communication processes to align the organization and leadership to the one agreed plan.
</li><li>Develop and implement supplier management strategy to ensure availability of raw materials and support material flow to meet production requirements. Implement processes for escalating risks and supply constraints, providing scenarios, proposing alternate solutions and comprehensive analytics to drive consensus and rapid decision making.</li><li>
Directs and monitors Team and processes through goals and objectives as well as leading KPI&rsquo;s. Establishes such performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain and materials management.</li><li>
Drives and oversees supply chain performance and continuous improvement initiatives within the planning and materials functions to impact lead times, material and logistics cost, inventory, and cash flow.</li><li>
Define and execute Global Supply Chain Strategy through 3rd party service providers, in-house operations and transport partners, aligned with Global standards.</li><li>
Maintains constant communication with main stakeholders from Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and Logistics pertinent to requirements and impacts.</li><li>
Ensures compliance with Global Supply policies and procedures and identifies risk environments from a compliance and/or capacity perspective.</li></ul>
Requirements:

Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.</li><li>
10+ years of experience in Global Supply Chain. Including Inventory Management, Production Planning, Supplier Development/Performance and International Logistics</li><li>
5+ years&rsquo; experience supervising and managing a team across multiple sites</li><li>
5+ years&rsquo; experience leading SIOP or S&amp;OP process.</li><li>
Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related ERP system software required. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (D365) highly preferred</li><li>
Experience in developing and implementing world class, global supply chain planning processes and managing them through deployment of global advanced planning and scheduling systems.</li><li>
Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma project leading experience. Master Black-Belt preferred.</li><li>
Experience with organization change management in a globally diverse, rapidly changing environment.</li><li>
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.</li></ul>

Physical Requirements
Performing the duties of this job regularly involves sitting, standing, walking, hearing/listening, grasping, and reaching. Lifting up to 25 lbs as needed. Vision requirements include the ability for close vision, to adjust focus, to color code.

This position requires the ability to: maintain an appropriate work pace, comprehend, write, and follow instructions, exercise logic and reasoning, read, communicate verbally and in writing, make decisions, count, and compute, multi-task/re-direct and experience numerous interruptions. Other Requirements:
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time as needed, domestically and internationally.
