What does a Med Tech at Sagora do?<ul><li>
Administer and accurately record administration of medications as prescribed by a resident's physician(s) in accordance with company policy and applicable state and federal guidelines under supervision of a nurse</li><li>
Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs</li><li>
Manage supply of medications</li><li>
Provide accounting for all medications ordered, received, stored, and administered</li><li>
Care for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of our residents</li><li>
Assist residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility</li><li>
Aid in daily tasks such as housekeeping, use of telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery</li><li>
Observe and report changes in residents' condition and status</li><li>
Conduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidents</li><li>
Assist in dining including escorting residents to dining room, serving, and clean up</li></ul> 
What do you need to be a Med Tech?<ul><li>
Six months of work experience passing meds in a retirement community setting is preferred</li><li>
CMA certification is a plus, but not required</li><li>
Candidate must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other associates in English</li><li>

How you will make a difference:<ul><li>
Plan and implement resident activities according to needs of residents</li><li>
Maintain the monthly activities calendar and assist Marketing Director with community newsletter</li><li>
Coordinate resident transportation for needs including, but not limited to, activities, shopping, and doctor trips</li><li>
Assist with new move-ins and perform new resident orientation</li><li>
Establish and coordinate the Community Resident Council and attend all meetings</li><li>
Supervise and operate the community's store</li><li>
Listen and respond to all resident problems, complaints, suggestions, and ideas regarding activities</li><li>
Coordinate use of all volunteers</li><li>
Document history of community with photographs and scrapbooks</li><li>
Operate activities within budget</li><li>
Serve as MOD as assigned and perform other duties as assigned by management team</li></ul>
What we are looking for:<ul><li>
1 year of work experience in the senior housing industry or event planning preferred</li><li>
Degree or certification in gerontological studies, recreation, or related program</li><li>
Affinity toward senior adults</li><li>
Organization and customer service skills</li><li>
Great communication skills (written and verbal)</li><li>
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other associates in English</li><li>
Must possess or be willing to acquire a valid driver's license and Commercial Drivers License where necessary.</li><li>
Required to work some evenings and weekends for special events</li></ul>
